Argh. Eve Muirhead's stone thuds into the US' yellow, sending it spinning towards central Beijing but her own stone just slips out of the house.

That means it's only two for Great Britain in this end, rather than three.

The lead is back to three at 7-4, however.

Isn't it great to see a smile on Laura Deas' face? :)

Seeing the 2018 bronze medallist fighting back the tears yesterday was tough to see.

But she's smiling again after climbing into the top 20, despite the limitations caused by the British equipment.

That means she will race in the event's fourth and final run at 13:55 GMT.

  18. 'Great Britain will want to keep the pressure on'published at 13:31 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

Women's curling: Great Britain 5-2 USA

    Steve Cram
    Curling commentator on BBC TV

A very good first five ends for Great Britain with a lead of three.

USA just struggling a little bit perhaps but still plenty to play for them, they've got the hammer in three of these ends if does go with the hammer, so they can turn that around.

Great Britain will want to keep the pressure on because the last two ends still felt as though USA were hanging on a bit and they'll want to make sure that doesn't change.

Who wants a recap of the medal winners from today's action?

First, Lindsey Jacobellis won her second gold in Beijing, this time winning the inaugural snowboard cross mixed team title alongside United States team-mate Nick Baumgartner.

Then, the Russian Olympic Committee won the cross-country skiing women's team relay, ahead of Germany and Sweden.

China's Tingyu Gao won host nation China's fourth gold of the Games with an Olympic record time in the speed skating men's 500m.

Earlier this morning, Norway's Johannes Thingnes Boe added to his Biathlon 20km bronze with gold in the men's sprint. His brother Tarjei took bronze.

And a little while ago there was another gold for Norway, this time in the men's large hill ski jump. Marius Lindvik pipped Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi in that one.

The women's skeleton is the only medal remaining today.
