Women's curling: Great Britain 5-2 USA (sixth end)

Another low-key end sees Great Britain take their one to head to the interval 5-3 ahead against USA.

A reminder that this is a crucial game for Team GB, who have lost to their three games so far in the round robin.

The British equipment, and it has been the same all season, has not been running. The speed is slipping away all the time. It is not helping and not working for the British women.

The result doesn't show how well the athletes have been sliding.

Laura's lines have been world class, she has been holding up her side of the bargain. The equipment hasn't.

Brogan has done really well. The lines haven't been perfect but she can hold her head up high. Another one whose potential hasn't been shown.

For Brogan, Matt and Marcus this Games is all about the development for the next four years. This Games was all about the experience and gearing up to winning medals in four years' time.

China are playing defending champions Sweden and every time they take out a stone there are woops and claps from the stands.

It's nice to have a bit of an atmosphere at these restricted Games...

There are two more groups to come in the rhythm dance - the next one features Britain's Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson...and some 70s rock.

But it will be a little while before we get to them, the big red resurfacing machines are doing their thing.

That last one from Eve Muirhead was just an inch too short to prevent the US taking two. Fine margins.

Women's curling: Great Britain 4-2 USA (fifth end)

There's the first mistake from Eve Muirhead and her British team. She leaves her final stone an inch or two short of what was intended and that gives the US' skip Tabitha Peterson the chance to slide in for two.

Still, GB have a 4-2 lead with six ends to play.

Brogan Crowley enjoys another solid run but again lacks the speed to make an impact.

Crowley blows out her cheeks as she walks off the track. That perfectly captures how she has felt about this Olympics.

Frustrated with her time but proud of her performances.

Here goes Laura Deas. The 2018 bronze medallist has been sliding smoothly, but she's lacked the speed to post quick runs.

Similar scenario here. Again, the lines are great but the equipment doesn't pick up the pace.

Deas's time puts her into 20th place and should be enough to race again. Unless Brogan Crowley can gazump her...

British pair Laura Deas and Brogan Crowley are lined up at the top of the run. They're the next two down.

While they won't be able to trouble the medal positions, both have chances to climb into the top 20 and ensure they can progress to the final run.

The top three remain untouchable, for now.

Germany's Hannah Neise still leads the way in the race for gold, with Australia's Jaclyn Narracott in second ahead of another German slider, Tina Hermann.

Seventeen of the 25 sliders have completed their third runs.

There's little report from the third end of the GB v USA curling match. With one British stone in the house the US skip opts to knock it out, take her own with it and therefore blank the end.

The American team have not found their stride at all so far.

I've got a lot of time for curling but what's going on with the shoes? They look like the ones I wore with my Year 5 uniform.

When we look at Australia's Jaclyn Narracott, nobody will have put her up there as a medal contender.

Similarly no-one would have put Janine Flock back at 10th. It is quite a bizarre competition.

People are struggling to work out the fast track and their equipment.

Remember Janine Flock? She's the Austrian slider who led in Pyeongchang going into the final run, ahead of British pair Lizzy Yarnold and Laura Deas.

Then, she tumbled out of the medal places after a poor final run. Now? She's aiming to climb up the rankings.

But, after a run of one minute 2.23 seconds, she's not going to trouble the medal placings.

This is turning into a Super Saturday, or Super Lørdag, for Norway.

Kobayashi, winner of the normal event, has to settle for silver. Karl Geiger of Germany takes bronze.
