Mixed curling - GB 2-4 Italy

A huge sigh goes up from Amos Mosaner, he knows he played a loose shot there.

The Italy stone nudges two GB stones closer together before disappearing beyond the back of the house.

GB then call a time out to discuss tactics. They know this could be their opportunity.

That was a really tough shot for Jen Dodds, she couldn't see much of the target stone.

In the end, GB have got away losing just one there. Italy are playing well.

Jen Dodds cannot reach that Italy target stone at the back of the button with her final shot - one point to Italy.

The measure is out to see if they have pinched a second... and they haven't.

That could have been worse for GB, but Italy are starting to warm to their task now.

Amos Mosaner does well to sweep Italy's fourth stone just past the guard and into a GB stone, landing just off the back of the button.

In response, Bruce Mouat cannons the guard out of the way with GB's penultimate stone, leaving the path clear for Jen Dodds.

One stone left each. Italy on course to extend their lead as it stands.

    Men's moguls super final

Anyone for a bit of positive thinking?

Walter Wallberg, the new men's moguls Olympic champion tore a cruciate ligament in February 2020 and when he returned eight months later he tore his meniscus.

He ploughed on with rehabilitation and at a recent press conference said: “If I only go at the level I know I can, I’ll have podium places in all the competitions. It feels like nothing can stop me."

That man was on to something wasn't he?

    Men's moguls final

    Walter Wallberg... Sweden is yours.

Arms aloft, he can scarcely believe it.

A score of 83.23 knocks Canada's Mikael Kingsbury into second. He's clapping Wallberg but in truth his shoulders are slumped. He wears the look of a dejected man.

Wallberg is Olympic champion at 21.

    Men's moguls super final

Two more to ski in this men's moguls final.

The star of the sport - Canada's Mikael Kingsbury - does a full fist pump as he crosses the line. He's delivered on his reputation there to put up 82.18, taking him into gold spot above Japan's Ikuma Horishima.

To Sweden's Walter Wallberg. It's all about him now. One run, one shot, one man to knock off top spot.

Here he comes, big air off jump one, he's flying down, jump two is huge, the landing superb.... he's home and claps his hands.

    To the scorecards...

    Men's moguls super final

    And then there were six.

The men's moguls super final is underway.

One run apiece, Frenchman Benjamin Cavet is third to take the 250m descent on and he is left punching the air in gold medal spot with three more men to fizz down.

Here comes Japan's Ikuma Horishima... an early wobble... he pulls in control, to the second jump.... endless spins and big air... the fastest run of the final so far but what about the marks for style and height?

He puts up a score of 81.48 and is in gold medal spot. Heartache for Cavet.

    Two left to ski...

So then, to Katharina Althaus, who we gave big billing to earlier on and who led after the first of the two rounds in this women's normal hill individual ski jump final.

Can she knock Slovenia's Ursa Bogataj down to silver medal position with this final jump? Gold for Germany or Slovenia?

They'll be dancing in the streets of Ljubljana folks as Althaus can't hit the mark.

She scores 115.7 for jump two and ends on 236.8 for her two runs. Bogataj celebrates gold on 239, while her compatriot Nika Kriznar picks up bronze.
