  9. 'I need the victory'published at 21:45 British Summer Time 6 September

    Bukauskas v Craig

Paul Craig, who has a professional record of 17 wins, nine defeats and one draw, added: "Saying 'just go out there and win' is the easy bit but there is a young, hungry guy in front of me who wants to put me away.

"I need to be in the motivation of 'Paul your UFC career can be over in 15 minutes, so leave no stone unturned'.

"Coming off a few losses, coming off moving back up to light heavyweight, having that weird fight just previously, I need the victory."

  10. Craig piles the pressure onpublished at 21:45 British Summer Time 6 September

    Bukauskas v Craig

This is big, very big for Scotland's Paul Craig.

The 37-year-old enters the octagon having lost his last three fights, with his last bout being declared a no-contest after he illegally up-kicked his opponent, Rodolfo Bellato.

"Every fight is important but this has a little bit of added importance because the last thing I want to do is leave this sport on a negative record or be kicked out of this sport and that is pretty much what can happen," he told BBC Scotland.

"You might sign a five fight deal but, if you are not doing your job well, your employer has a right to release you.

"This is for my career, my livelihood, my family."

    No pressure then.

Although, I am still trying to forget Conor McGregor's fight with Floyd Mayweather...

  12. Can Craig prove doubters wrong again?published at 21:41 British Summer Time 6 September

    Bukauskas v Craig

    Paul Battison
    BBC Sport MMA journalist

When Paul Craig fights, you can usually expect a finish.

The Scotsman has only ever gone to a decision in two of his 28 professional bouts, with 13 wins coming by submission and four by knockout.

He has only won one of his last seven UFC fights though, and defeat against Modestas Bukauskas will raise questions over his ability to compete against the elite anymore at the age of 37.

Craig has made a career out of winning when defeat would seem more likely, however, so don't be surprised if he pulls another one out of the bag tonight.

"I don't think I was hurt, I started slow! It happens, but I put it on him. He slowed down and I didn't.

"The wrestling was plan B. I like to cause damage - I would have liked to stay standing for a bit longer, but he wanted to wrestle so I showed him how to wrestle.

"I have come out of this with a little nick on my eye and no damage.

"November 22 in Qatar, I want to be on that card - 10 weeks time. Get me on it, I will push someoone else away and make it three [wins] and zero [losses] record."
