Jersey's Team Jets coach Linda Andrews says the island side are capable of winning the Premier League Three title.

Team Jets beat Linden 42-41 to stay joint-second in the table at the mid-way point of their season.

They have only lost three times since being promoted in May and have already beaten leaders Kent County this season.

"I always said we were capable of getting to the play-offs and at this stage it looks like we're heading that way," Andrews told BBC Radio Jersey.

"But to win it outright, I didn't quite believe it. Now it's something that's becoming a reality and you think 'maybe we can actually win it and get automatic promotion.'

"We're the only team to have beaten Kent so far, so if we can produce another performance like that one, which was the best performance I've ever seen from the girls, then we'll be on course to be right at the top of the league come the end of the season."
