With less than 12 minutes left, the shootout is looming...

Lin v Staneva in featherweight division

Taiwan's Lin Yu-ting follows Algeria’s Imane Khelif by being guaranteed at least a bronze boxing medal.

In a scrappy encounter, Lin overcame Bulgarian Svetlana Kamenova Staneva in the featherweight quarter-final.

Both Lin and Khelif’s eligibility to compete in the women’s division has been called into question by some but they have each progressed into the semi-finals.

Khelif was victorious in the welterweight division quarter-final on Saturday afternoon.

    Andrew Moon
BBC Radio Solent commentator in Paris

The Indian fans raised the noise levels when their side went down to 10. The equaliser quietened them down for a bit but the longer it stays 1-1, the belief keeps growing that their side can overcome the numerical disadvantage and book themselves a place in the final.

If there’s no goal in the next 15 minutes we go straight to a penalty shoot out.

That was the top three we expected to qualify.

Daryll Neita ran a really nice bend, the transition was flawless. There is also more left in the tank, and she will have a day and a half rest now before the semi-finals.

Netherlands' Tasa Jiya and France's Helene Parisot come second and third.

A reminder that Neita's GB team-mate Bianca Williams is in heat five and Dina Asher-Smith in heat six.

Still level but green card for Indiapublished at 10:16 British Summer Time 4 August

    Men's hockey quarter-final - GB 1-1 India

Well, Team GB did appear to run out of ideas somewhat as the third quarter went on.

But, a green card for India's Sumit in the final seconds of the quarter means that Great Britain will have a two-man advantage to start the fourth.

Will they opt to start it without their goalkeeper and go all-out attack? It doesn't look like it.

In the second heat, USA's Gabby Thomas strolls through, the bronze medallist from Tokyo impressing in a time of 22.20.

Jamaica's Niesha Burgher and Switzerland's Mujinga Kambundji complete the automatic qualifiers.

But there's a big shock in these heats as Jamaica's Shericka Jackson, who withdrew from the 100m to focus on the half-lap, didn't enter the call room and will not be competing.

It opens the competition right up as she is a two-time world champion in the distance and an Olympic champion in the 4x100m relay from Tokyo. We are yet to hear why exactly she has dropped out but will update you when we can.

It's also another big blow for Jamaica, who saw Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce withdraw from the 100m as well.

Great Britain have got to look for some outcomes...

They are working well into the circle and getting some short corners, but Great Britain have probably got to look at some routines along the line.

India's goalkeeper Sreejesh is on-form and he is seeing the ball as a football.

As you'd expect with the man advantage, it's Great Britain pretty relentlessly on the attack in this third quarter.

Rupert Shipperley so nearly gave them the lead but his shot came back off the post with India goalkeeper PR Sreejesh beaten.

Julien Alfred flies down the home straight, nice and strong. That was very easy for her. It would have been a very busy night for her.

That isn't just celebrations, but dope testing and getting back late to the village.

Alfred cruises through to semispublished at 10:01 British Summer Time 4 August

    Women's 200m - round one

No time to rest for Saint Lucia's Julien Alfred. Fresh from winning the 100m final last night, she's up in the first heat of the 200m. She looks very relaxed, no real fuss as she is introduced to the crowd who give her a big cheer.

She cruises through, comfortably winning her heat and is even able to ease off at the finish in a time of 22.41. There is also plenty of appreciation for France's Gemima Joseph, who finishes second.

The first three go through to the semis, and there is a repechage round (effectively a second chance, replacing the previous 'fastest loser' method) to determine the other qualifiers.

  14. Focus again on women's boxingpublished at 10:00 British Summer Time 4 August

Lin v Staneva in featherweight division

At 10:00 BST, Taiwan's Lin Yu-ting is due for her quarter-final bout in the women's featherweight division against Bulgarian Svetlana Kamenova Staneva.

That only tells half the story as Lin is one of two boxers whose participation at Paris 2024 has been the subject of intense scrutiny.

After Algeria’s Imane Khelif won on Saturday in the welterweight division to guarantee at least a bronze medal, Lin can follow the same path.

Both fighters' eligibility to compete has been called into question after they were said to have failed gender eligibility tests at the World Championships last year.

The IOC insists Khelif and Lin were “born a woman, raised a woman”. They have doubted the accuracy of the tests by the boxing body which oversaw the World Championships.

Lin was actually stripped of the bronze medal at the 2023 worlds. The fighter who was awarded it instead? Svetlana Kamenova Staneva.

Great Britain have been absolutely fantastic. It has been everything you would expect from Great Britain v India. It is up - it is back.

They have been so tough in defence. Ollie Payne - wow - what a game he is having!

We have been clinical when we have needed to be clinical, and what a finish from Lee Morton - he almost had so much time on the ball.

Fantastic start. I think it's going to be a great second half.
