Hugs all round and massive relief on the Great Britain bench to that equaliser.

Frustration was starting to build and going in at 1-0 down would have likely led to some stern words in the dressing room. Coming from behind is what this side does though.

All square at half-timepublished at 09:46 British Summer Time 4 August

    Men's hockey quarter-final - GB 1-1 India

Well, it's been all go so far in this first men's quarter-final!

Great Britain started well but India grew into the match, only to have Amit Rohidas sent off for a deliberate flick of the stick into the face of Will Calnan.

That didn't stop them taking the lead through Harmanpreet Singh from a penalty corner.

However, Team GB hit back and equalised late in the half through Lee Morton.

After Saturday night’s thrills, featuring brilliance from Femke Bol and Julien Alfred’s historic women’s 100m gold for St Lucia, what will today have in store for us?

The sprinters braving a double-up in Paris face a tight turnaround from the conclusion of the 100m last night, with the women’s 200m getting under way shortly. That includes gold medalist Julien Alfred, plus British trio Daryll Neita, Dina Asher-Smith and Bianca Williams.

That’s before what promises to be a dramatic evening session, featuring the conclusion of the men’s 100m.

Not only that, but we will get a first chance at Paris 2024 to see fierce rivals Josh Kerr and Jakob Ingebrigtsen go head-to-head in their 1500m semi-final, while Keely Hodgkinson, Jemma Reekie and Phoebe Gill will all aim to make the women’s 800m final.

    Perfect Sunday viewing.

Morton 'backs up his brace' with close-range goalpublished at 09:43 British Summer Time 4 August

Lee Morton isn't going to put that one down as one of the best quality finishes ever, but it could be one of his most important finishes ever!

He has backed up his brace in the other game by scoring from close-range. The ball in was powerful, Sreejesh was policing his channel on the inside but he didn't get enough with his left hand to stop that one going in.

As simple as that goal looks, it was all about the build-up.

GB equalise through Mortonpublished at 09:42 British Summer Time 4 August

    Men's hockey quarter-final - GB 1-1 India

A scruffy finish but they all count - and Great Britain are level.

It's a powerful ball in from wide on the right and it finds Lee Morton right in the middle of the goal.

His flicked finish is straight at the goalkeeper but with enough force that PR Sreejesh can't keep it out.

All square again but Team GB do have a man advantage after the earlier red card for India.

That's what Harmanpreet Singh can do! That's why he is the top goal-scorer, not just in this competition for India but in the world right now.

He has scored the most goals out of anybody and he has just shown why.

There was good drag out and he goes for his favourite corner and goalkeeper Ollie Payne can't even see it! It goes in unsighted.

    A super finish from India.

    Men's hockey quarter-final - GB 0-1 India

A brilliant save from Ollie Payne kept it level but the resulting scramble brought India a penalty corner.

Huge opportunity for the 10 men - and they take it.

Thumped in by India captain Harmanpreet Singh. They're a man down but a goal up.

Great Britain have got it all to do now and need to make the most of their extra player.

That is massive! Unfortunately, from those pictures, I have got to agree with that decision to give a red card.

Amit Rohidas' stick was in an unnatural position as it was raised. I was looking to see if the sticks were hooked in some way and he was just pulling to release his stick.

But it just looks awful and there is no reason for his stick to go up to that position.

This fundamentally shifts the whole momentum of the game.

    Men's hockey quarter-final - GB 0-0 India

    Wow.

Big advantage for Great Britain now as a referral results in India's Amit Rohidas being shown a red card!

Rohidas is being challenged by Team GB's Will Calnan and the India defender then appears to deliberately flick his stick up and hit Calnan in the face.

Deliberate is the view of the video umpire and India are down to 10 men.

Paris 2024 has some stunning venues...and this one is right up there.

Good morning, and welcome to Chateau de Versailles where today it's the day of the individual dressage final, with three Brits - Lottie Fry, Becky Moody and Carl Hester - in contention.

I had a little walk around the venue this morning before the action began, and this is where everyone was taking their selfies. Granted, my phone camera has not done it justice, but you can just about make out the Palace of Versailles in the distance.

Finally, India are able to put Team GB under a bit of pressure.

They win three penalty corners back-to-back-to-back but a good save from GB goalkeeper Ollie Payne keeps out the third of them - and it's all level at the end of the first quarter.

You could make a heat map with the territory and amount of possession Great Britain have had in these first ten minutes.

India's attacks have been occasional and sporadic as they have come forward, but Great Britain have had much higher tempo and possession. They just need to continue to do that...

Whisper it but the boxing might have the best volunteers of any venue at this Olympics. They're the most energetic I've come across anyway.

Each time I arrive from the metro stop they have the tunes blasting and are dancing away to get the crowd in the mood. It's like a mini hype squad.

This more, aptly, they were playing Snoop Dogg.

It will be important for Great Britain to realise that they have some early territory. They will have some high possession and they will want to convert it into something.

India play better culturally - they work off an emotional high - so if they get ahead, they will feel that momentum. Great Britain will need to stifle that where they can.

    Equestrian team final

    Katie Falkingham
    BBC Sport in Paris

Great Britain's dressage riders put a turbulent build-up behind them to win team bronze at the Paris Olympics.

Seven-time Olympian Carl Hester, Lottie Fry and Becky Moody scored a combined 232.492% to place behind gold medallists Germany and Denmark in silver on the podium at Chateau de Versailles.

It came less than two weeks after Charlotte Dujardin, the star of British dressage, withdrew on the eve of the Games and was provisionally suspended by equestrian's world governing body for "excessively" whipping a horse.

Prior to their podium finish being confirmed, Hester told BBC Sport: "Any medal will be great, let's face it, after the couple of weeks we've had. It will be great for the whole team."

Hester, Moody and Fry are back in action in the individual dressage event today.

Defeat by Germany on Friday meant Paul Revington's side finished third in Pool A, while India were second in Pool B after three wins, a draw and a loss from their five matches so far.

This is a rematch of the quarter-final in Tokyo three years ago. India won 3-1 that day and went on to take bronze.

American gymnast Simone Biles won her third Olympic gold of the Paris Games when she took the vault title in emphatic fashion.

After helping the USA to women's team gold and then taking the all-around title, the 27-year-old reclaimed another of the titles she first won at Rio 2016, having lost them in Tokyo when she pulled out of several events.

She nailed her huge Biles II vault before sticking her 'easier' vault - whose difficulty is harder than many attempt as their best vault - to score an average of 15.300.

Brazil's Rebeca Andrade, the only gymnast who has skills that can come close to Biles and who won the title in Tokyo, took silver with 14.966 and American Jade Carey got bronze with 14.466.

American superstar Katie Ledecky equalled the record for the most gold medals by a female Olympian as she won the 800m freestyle title at the Paris Games.

Ledecky clocked eight minutes 11.04 seconds to become the only woman - and only swimmer other than the great Michael Phelps - with four Olympic golds in the same event.

It was Ledecky's ninth Olympic gold, moving her level with former Soviet gymnast Larisa Latynina, and taking her overall tally to 14 medals.

Phelps has the most medals of any Olympian with 28, including 23 golds.

"The four-times record is the one that means the most to me," Ledecky, 27, said afterwards.
