I think it's interesting, Pidcock's puncture has probably forced everyone to suffer a little harder when everyone else didn't need it to, but it's made it a better race. It happens to the best riders. Nobody is invincible and when your heartrate is 190 for 90 minutes, it makes it quite the challenge.

Nadal recovers double breakpublished at 14:22 British Summer Time 29 July

    Djokovic 6-1 4-4 Nadal*

    Jonathan Jurejko
    BBC Sport at Roland Garros

Oh hello! The old man’s back again.

Suddenly Nadal has found another gear, hitting with more venom and purpose.

Another break point! Two of them, in fact.

Djokovic saves one, as he often does, with a pinpoint serve out wide.

But he can’t save the second.

A thriller of a point sees Nadal somehow turn defence into attack, leading to an exchange of overheads, volleys and pick ups which Djokovic can’t win.

From Djokovic leading 4-0, we’re all square in this second set…

Glimmer of hope for Nadalpublished at 14:18 British Summer Time 29 July

    *Djokovic 6-1 4-3 Nadal

    Jonathan Jurejko
    BBC Sport at Roland Garros

Novak Djokovic has been pretty much flawless today.

One of the best levels he has produced this year, in my opinion.

But then, after about an hour and a quarter, his guard slightly drops.

His ball-striking lets him down for once when his mishits a forehand to bring up Nadal’s first break point of the match.

Then, Djokovic coughs up a double fault as he hands over half of the double break.

The door isn’t ajar for Nadal, though. It’s still firmly shut with Djokovic holding the key ready to lock it.

He is giving it everything and the time is coming down so let's hope that keeps happening.

Flying winger Jasmine Joyce came off the bench to score two tries to help Great Britain record a 26-17 victory over South Africa.

That means Team GB have beaten both Ireland and South Africa, either side of a heavy defeat by Australia, during the pool phase.

Plenty of positives as they wait to see their quarter-final opponent.

    Men's mountain bike

Tom Pidcock is now trying to make his way through the field after that front wheel puncture.

He has to close the gap and pedal faster than he would otherwise have intended to if he was leading the field.

He has to start bridging that gap to somehow get back to the medal positions.

He is now sixth, he is working on it. It's starting to happen.
