Shocking decision against Delicious Orie in the boxing. Not the first for GB. Why do we see this in Olympic boxing?

    Greg, Letchworth

What's going on with these boxing judges? No way did Orie deserve to lose that. Seems like their swayed by swinging arms, not boxing technique and punches that connect.

Angharad Evans speaking to BBC TV after finishing fourth in the women's 100m breaststroke final: "I felt a lot of pressure there but controlled it. Went out a bit quicker, swam the race a little differently as I had chatted to my coach yesterday about coming out too slowly. It is just more experience for me and I am looking forward to my next chapter."

On reaching sub 66 seconds for breaststroke: "Yes that's exciting. First woman in Team GB to reach that so it means a lot to me."

What's next?: "A bit of a swim down then the girls relay at the end of the week, that is where my attention goes to next."

    Swimming - women's 100m breaststroke final

Ireland's Mona McSharry speaking to BBC TV after winning bronze in the women's 100m breaststroke final (Ireland's first swimming medal since 1996): "I can't really ask for anything more than winning a medal at the Olympics. I'm not even sure that was something that little me dreaming of going to the Olympics thought was possible.

"I am really just trying to keep pushing. That is what I have been training for all year, to be top three, and yeah dreams do come true."

On the work to get to this point: "It is so tough and I believe that I can do that and go faster. It doesn't always come together in a perfect race - I wouldn't even say that there was a perfect race - but it is really just about racing and getting your hands on the wall first. That was the goal tonight, just to beat the other competitors in the pool."

On family and friends in the crowd: "Yes I've got quite a lot of people here supporting, it was hard to spot them all in the crowd. I am hoping we can catch up and just be happy and enjoy the moment. It is great to have them here supporting, I missed that in Tokyo, so it is really nice."

It was a demolition job – Mollie O'Callaghan absolutely took Ariarne Titmus apart over the last 50m. It’s almost like she flicked on a switch and put on the afterburners, she powered away from Titmus and it was an Olympic record, just to underline it.

Team GB's Duncan Scott speaking to BBC TV after finishing fourth in the men's 200m freestyle: "I don't really know what to say. Fourth is a horrible place to come. Several hundredths of a second away from winning a medal, or even better.

"I was buzzing going into that, had really good fun in there, and looking back I maybe should have pushed it on a bit earlier. It was really tight, came down to the finish and I didn't quite have it today.

"Matt [Richards] has finished second, so that is a great result for him. World champion last year, silver this year at the Olympics, unbelievable."

On having such a strong 4x200m relay team: "Yeah totally, it is good for us tomorrow, 4x200m. We won it last time, so can we go back to back in that? I look forward to that."

McSharry finished third in a tight final, which was won by South Africa's Tatjana Smith and Tang Qianting was second for China.

The 23-year-old looked in shock as she checked the screen to see where had finished, as her quiet confidence about securing a medal in Paris became a reality.

In an ultra-tight final, McSharry finished 0.31 seconds off winner Smith and just 0.01 seconds ahead of Italian Benedetta Pilato, who was fourth.

Inspired by Anthony Joshua, Orie is competing at an Olympics for the first time.

He’s about to take on Armenia’s Davit Chaloyan in the men’s 92kg in the round of 16 at a very, very noisy North Paris Arena.

GB haven’t had the best time in the boxing in Paris. It’s a sport they often win a medal in, but so far they’re 0-3, with three still to come, including Orie.
