Great Britain win the bronze and they have to be pleased with that. They really have to be pleased with another bronze medal. How this British diving team are delivering, we've had four events and Britain have medalled in all of them.

Three bronzes and a silver and congratulations Jack Laugher, he has medalled for the third games in a row. What an achievement. Rio, Tokyo, Paris.

On his Olympic debut, Anthony Harding is also an Olympic medallist.

An effortless sub-11 clocking for world champion Sha'Carri Richardson there. The American means business and will be favourite for Olympic gold as the fastest woman this year.

She has a big smile on her face as she exits the track, her place in Saturday night's semi-finals secured in 10.94 seconds.

Over on the in-field, though, there's huge disappointment for GB's Morgan Lake as she falls short of a place in the women's high jump final, unable to clear 1.92m.

Lake finished fourth at last year's World Championships but won't get the opportunity to go one better in Paris.

After the preliminary rounds a little earlier, it's now time for the women's 100m heats.

Team USA's Sha'carri Richardson has just won the first heat in 10.94. Saint Lucia's Julien Alfred won the second in 10.95.

Daryll Neita is the first of the Team GB trio to go, she's in heat three alongside American Melissa Jefferson.

It's then the turn of Imani Lansiquot in heat four. She's up against Jamaica's Tia Clayton and Audrey Leduc of Canada.

Last but by no means least is Dina Asher-Smith. The former world champion goes in heat five with her main competition likely to come from Nigeria's Rosemary Chukwuma.

Some of the major headlines so far today in Paris:

    • It was so near but yet so far for Ollie Wynne-Griffiths and Tom George in the men's pairs rowing, as they took a significant early lead only to be caught near the line by Croatian brothers Martin and Valent Sinkovic and had to settle for silver. Britain have another chance of a medal in the women's lightweight double sculls where Emily Craig and Imogen Grant compete.
    • Adam Peaty will not take part in the mixed 4x100m medley relay heats on Friday morning, after testing positive for Covid-19. Peaty could still come in for the final on Saturday evening, should Team GB qualify.
    • One of Britain's prime athletics medal hopes, Josh Kerr, cruised into the semi-finals of the 1500m in 3:35.83 - his best time of the season so far. GB's Neil Gourley is also through after coming fifth in his first race, behind defending champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen of Norway. George Mills missed out in his heat, but could still progress through the newly-introduced repechage.
    • There was a major blow for GB in the women's high jump, as Morgan Lake failed to qualify for the final after missing three jumps at 1.92m.
    • We're under way in the second round of the golf as Japan's Hideki Matsuyami currently leads the pack on -8. Great Britain's Tommy Fleetwood put in a brilliant first round score to leave himself four shots off the lead with Ireland's Rory McIlroy on -3. Fleetwood will tee off at 11:44 BST.

And some events to look out for today:

    • Two-time Olympic medallist Bryony Page of Team GB begins her bid for gold in the trampolining shortly, with the final at 12.50 BST.
    • After yesterday's medal race was abandoned because of a sudden change in the wind direction, they will try again in the men's skiff at 12:13 with British sailors James Peters and Fynn Skerritt getting another chance to force their way into the medal positions.
    • It's over to Chateau de Versailles at 13:00 for the equestrian as Britain's Ben Maher, Harry Charles and Scott Brash compete in the team jumping final.
    • Britain are on course for a medal in the women's windsurfing, where Emma Wilson currently leads. The final stages of that competition take place from 14.30 BST today.

Mexico and Great Britain are the teams left to dive with any hope of catching them.

At the Bercy Arena where Simone Biles tumbled her way to all-around gymnastics gold last night, there are now two giant trampolines set up on the floor.

GB’s Bryony Page has been warming up for her qualification event, which starts at 1100 BST.

She tries a few huge somersaults and then gets off to watch a recording of what she’s done and discusses it with her coaches.

As a double individual world champion and two-time Olympic medallist, she is one of the favourites here.

That was Great Britain's most difficult dive - it gives me mild nausea just watching them twist in the air - but they've done a solid job, putting them in the bronze position going in to the final round.

Jack Laugher and Anthony Harding are six points off Mexico in second, and seven off China in first.

But crucially, Mexico and China will attempt their big scoring dives in this final round...

Oh yes they can! Great scores across the board again from the judges leaves the pair in third, behind China in first and Mexico in second.

Bronze looks just about wrapped up for the British pair with half a chance at silver or gold.

George Mills couldn't get the job done today, however, and has therefore added another race to his busy schedule.

He will now contest the 1500m repechage round tomorrow evening. That's a new feature at Paris 2024 for all individual track events from 200m to 1500m, ensuring all athletes in those events will get at least two chances to progress.
