It's Greg Louganis opening the 10m diving final with the French-style three strikes with the big stick.

A true legend of the sport with four Olympic golds, including two in this event, the American is also remembered for that shocking time when he hit his head on the board on the way to the 3m springboard gold in 1988.

Can GB add to record diving haul?published at 13:59 British Summer Time 10 August

    Diving - men's 10m platform final

    Sonia Oxley
    BBC Sport in Paris

Paris has provided Great Britain's biggest diving medal haul at an Olympics - this final is the last one for the nation to add to that.

All four medals have come in synchro events - can they get one in an individual event?

This 12-man final features two Britons - Noah Williams, who already has a 10m synchro silver with Tom Daley, and Kyle Kothari.

Kothari qualified in sixth place and Williams just squeezed into the final in 12th after a couple of messy dives.

Everyone will do six dives, with the scores for each added together for a final total.

A raise of the arms and a bow to the crowd from Caden Cunningham, who is through to the semi-finals on his Olympic debut. He showed superb composure there to see off Cuba's Rafael Alba. He's got a giant hug off Lutalo Muhammad as well on his way out.

My favourite thing about the taekwondo are the little boxes the coaches stand in so they can shout advice to their athletes. It's like they're waiting for a drink at a busy bar.

Britain haven't gone without a taekwondo medal since the 2004 Games in Athens - and it's down to Caden Cunningham and Rebecca McGowan to keep that streak going.

Cunningham is up first in a tough quarter-final against Cuba's Rafael Alba, the bronze medallist in Tokyo three years ago.

Cunningham is a tough cookie - as most in the sport are. He tore his ACL during the first-round of the 2022 World Championships, but still carried on to finish and win the bout before ultimately having a fairly lengthy lay-off.

He claimed European gold on his debut it 2023 - which should hopefully bode well for his Olympic debut...

In between the diving semi-final and final the artistic swimmers have been getting in some practice in the neighbouring pool.

Great Britain’s Kate Shortman and Isabelle Thorpe were going through their routine before this evening’s free routine, which will decide the medals in the duet event (18:30 BST).

They are fourth following Friday’s opening technical routine and will be seeking to make history as GB have never won an artistic swimming medal at an Olympics.
