    Great Britain came oh so close to adding to their gold medal tally with the women's 4x100m relay team picking up silver while Katarina Johnson-Thompson ended her long wait for an Olympic medal.

    The men's 4x100m relay team also picked up a bronze while plenty happened at the velodrome.
