There's a crowd camera at the tennis that has a top hat and moustache filter that lands on the faces of the most unsuspecting people.

The crowd love it - the lady who was just trying to eat her sandwich in peace did not.

Cameron Norrie and co look like they are going to be kicking their heels for a little while yet.

With the rain continuing to fall from the Paris skies, I'm told there will be no play on the outside clay until 14.30 at the earliest.

Maybe the Scottish weather is a positive omen for Norrie.

  3. 'We couldn't be more pleased'published at 12:22 British Summer Time 27 July

    Women's synchronised 3m springboard

Olympic bronze medallist Yasmin Harper speaking to BBC One: "We're so excited, we are so pleased with ourselves. We came into this event knowing this is what we want and we had to stand on the boards and deliver and I'm so proud that we were able to do that this morning.

On going into the fifth dive: "Every time before we do a dive, we have a little word with each other to take our time because we know what we're doing but on our last dive we decided to change our order and put our hardest dive last just so we have a bit of extra advantage at the end and we put our best one there so it went well for us and we were really pleased."

On what was going through their minds when the Australian's faltered on their last dive: "We knew that they had to falter a bit to feel the pressure on that dive and it meant that we came away with a bronze medal so we couldn't be more pleased."

On winning the first diving medal since 1960: "That's what we think about because it has been a bit of a thing that the girls haven't had a medal in so many years so coming into today we really wanted to put our best foot forward and show what we could do so to come away with the first medal in so long in the women's diving is incredible, the perfect birthday present for tomorrow."

We mentioned a little earlier that Team GB's diving bronze medallist Scarlett Mew Jensen (pictured right above) has been struggling with injury in the run-up to the Games.

She's just been chatting about it and it turns out she had a partial back fracture just three months ago and didn't think she would be here.

She was unable to dive for six weeks and only got back into action a month ago.

"You have got to push that doubt to the side," Mew Jensen said. "Yas has been completely supportive."

    Remarkable.

All of Great Britain's gymnasts are on their feet cheering Harry Hepworth on as he performs on rings. It's done the trick and he gets 14.700, which is a big score on that apparatus. It would be surprising if that did not get him into the apparatus final.

It’s been a great qualifying event for GB, who are top of the team standings ahead of the US after the first of the day’s three sub-divisions.

Heavyweights China and Japan are still to compete but GB are looking good for what could be a battle for bronze with the Americans.

Centre Jock Landale led the way for Australia with 20 points, nine rebounds and five assists, while Chicago Bulls' Josh Giddey scored 17 points with eight rebounds and eight assists.

Santi Aldama of the Memphis Grizzlies was the standout performer for Spain with 27 points as he knocked down six of his eight shots from three-point range.

World champions Germany are up against Japan in Group B shortly, with France versus Brazil to follow before Greece face Canada in Group A this evening.

Great Britain's men are through to this evening's 4x100m freestyle final in third place with a time of three minutes 12.49 seconds.

They are behind China and Australia, 0.87 seconds off the top spot.

Should be a cracking final, that one.

Well done Max Whitlock! The double Olympic champion has scored 15.166 on pommel horse - he won't find out officially until later this evening if he's in the final (top eight qualify) but that is a very high score.

Not the highest of the day, mind, that belongs to American Stephen Nedoroscik, who was given 15.200.

But Whitlock should still be able to relax while the other teams compete in qualifying.

    Ooft.

A nasty double fault from Irina-Camelia Begu rather hands the first set over to Iga Swiatek.

That scoreline probably doesn't reflect how tight it felt, particularly in the opening exchanges, but Swiatek is such a good frontrunner. Once she puts her foot down, it's difficult to stop her.

Now it's over to the men to try and reach the final of the 4x100m freestyle relay, where they have never won an Olympic medal.

This team has bags of talent with Duncan Scott and Tom Dean both involved.

They're in lane three but are up against the crowd in this first heat with France involved. Cries of "Allez les Bleus!" begin as the athletes walk out.

  17. Norrie faces tricky opener at Roland Garrospublished at 11:50 British Summer Time 27 July

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Sport Scotland in Paris

Scotland's Cameron Norrie has been struggling for form of late - now would be the perfect time to rediscover it.

What better stage than the Olympic one to remind everyone of what a good player you are.

Norrie will certainly be hoping that is the case, but he has a very tough first round assignment on Court six at Roland Garros against Tallon Griekspoor.

The Scot is 17 spots below the Dutchman in the world rankings in 44th, so he will be taking an underdog tag on to the clay.

Whoever prevails will face an almighty obstacle in the next round, with Wimbledon and French Open Champion Carlos Alcaraz their likely opponent.

Whitlock has done very well. He's been ill, injured and become a father. A lot has been going on and it's good to see him back in his comfort zone at an Olympic Games.

  19. All eyes on Whitlockpublished at 11:46 British Summer Time 27 July

    Gymnastics - men's qualifying

    Sonia Oxley
    BBC Sport in Paris

All eyes are on Max Whitlock now as he sets his sights on qualifying for the pommel horse final. He’s a double Olympic champion on it and can become the first gymnast to win medals on the same apparatus at four successive Games.

It’s his last Olympics and he told us earlier this week he was cherishing every moment, saying: “This time I’m just trying to soak it all in a little bit more. It feels a little bit more special.”
