    England 34-12 Samoa

    Jonathan Davies
Former Wales international on BBC Two

Why was Skelton trying to be clever? It just needed an inside pass.

That try is a 12 pointer! Samoa have blown it. England deserve this tally, they have been very good and clinical.

    Game over.

Jack Welsby, who has had a fine game, picks up the turnover and skilfully sets up Dom Young. The wing's pass back inside finds the charging Mikey Lewis, who flies over the line and celebrates enthusiastically.

Samoa, who were metres from making this a grandstand finish, are now heading for a hefty defeat.

Harry Smith, excellent off the tee today, adds the conversion.

Oh, that was the chance for Samoa to really get back in this game!

Wing Jeral Skelton skips a tackle and seems clean down the left, but he gets too clever with an attempted one hand pass inside than falls well short.

Skelton has his head in his hands, and rightly so.

When Samoa are just playing off the cuff, when they've got some ruck speed, they've looked a far better side.

  20. 'A little bit of chaos'published at 16:00 Greenwich Mean Time

    Paul Rowley
Salford Red Devils head coach on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

The best thing that happened there was he didn't make the try on the first play because that was going to the screen and I reckon it was going as a no try at that point. This was their flip a coin moment because there was a little bit of chaos. In the initial incident, Samoa got a hand to the ball, it's a knock on, and it's play on. But there's a bit of chaos on the back of that. And Jarome Luai was just questioning the ref and the touchie on it.
