Matty Ashton will not score an easier try.

He has done that all season, that's why he's in this England team - he's a super player. He has also contributed well to Warrington's spoils this year.

More bad news for Samoa - Mikey Lewis is off the bench for England.

He gets a round of applause from the Wigan crowd. Something he will not be used to, as a Hull KR player.

A chaotic passage of play, and England take advantage.

So, Daryl Clark is tackled, in doing so the Samoan player knocks it onto Jack Welsby's boot. Welsby grubber kicks it forward again, and England dash into space while Samoa wait for the whistle.

It doesn't come, England play on, and Ashton crosses the line for his second try of the match.

For the fourth time in five attempts, Harry Smith converts.

The more chaos the better for Samoa. That's got to be the tactic for them. The offload game, throwing caution to the wind. It started with a fantastic run out of backfield. It's a lovely short pass from Luai, to get through the space, and then he's stepped back off that left foot and created an opportunity for the guy who started it all, Deine Mariner.

Dom Young, who has had a quiet game, nearly escapes down the right wing but is speared by a flying tackle and the ball goes forward.

No respect for the stars from this Samoan team.

Samoa have a lot of work on to win this game, but they have certainly scored the most aesthetically pleasing try of the match so far.

Good character from the visitors to keep playing flowing rugby, and keep themselves in this match.

    Unbelievable.

Great offloads and great line running. Jarome Luai is the architect. Deine Mariner finishes it off, the play was dead and then Luai found the play.

Samoa come up with a nice try.

    Deine Mariner (53 mins)

    Brilliance from the tourists!

The move looks dead when Jarome Luai picks the ball up deep, but Samoa make great progress down the left with some superb hand work.

The fifth phase in particular is stunning rugby, quick passing through the hands to pick open the English defence, ending in Deine Mariner skipping through the gap to score his second try of the match.

Junior Pauga slots a terrific conversion from wide, and the gap is back down to 10 points.

  9. 'Greet feet from Farnworth'published at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time

    Paul Rowley
Salford Red Devils head coach on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Herbie Farnworth showed great feet. The back five have all been really consistent. And Victor Radley, pushing in support, profited from a great offload, and great feet from Farnworth, right through the heart of Samoa.

  10. 'A lovely try'published at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time

Herbie Farnworth is a good player. Great support from Victor Radley too.

George Williams got them on the edge and put his foot on the accelerator.

Farnworth against a dogged defence realises who is in front of him and it's a lovely try.

  11. 'Samoa will have to come with something different'published at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time

    Paul Rowley
Salford Red Devils head coach on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Samoa aren't going through this England team. They'll have to go round it, they'll have to come up with an offload or something a little bit different.

    Victor Radley (50 mins)

England put together their first flowing move of the second period, George WIlliams carries down the left.

Herbie Farnworth then picks it up, does great work to find the offload for Victor Radley, and the loose forward powers over for the fourth English try.

    Harry Smith adds another two.

  13. 'Game management is hugely important'published at 15:42 Greenwich Mean Time

Samoa are starting to struggle with their legs. Game management is hugely important if they want to stay in this game.

That's a flop again from Samoa. The referee is going to have a word with Jarome Luai.

  15. Postpublished at 47 mins

    England 16-6 Samoa

Samoa put together a decent attacking move, but it falls apart when Anthony Milford drops the ball at the critical moment.

Two or three players then get involved trying to tackle the England player who dropped on the ball, which does not impress the referee.

    England 16-6 Samoa

We've just been told that key Samoa player Jeremiah Nanai needed a head injury assessment at half time after a clash late in the first period.

He passed it, meaning he is available for the remainder of this game. A big boost for Samoa.

  17. 'Nine rounds to one to England'published at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time

    Paul Rowley
Salford Red Devils head coach on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

You've got to say if it was a boxing match, it would have been nine rounds to one to England so far. A very dominant first half with a Samoa try against the run of play.

  18. 'England have dominated'published at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time

    England 16-6 Samoa

    Jon Wilkin
Former England international on BBC Two

In the NRL they don't commit numbers into tackles and England have committed three to every tackle.

Samoa failed to identify that for the first 25 minutes. The game was far too quick for Samoa and England have dominated.

  19. Postpublished at 43 mins

    England 16-6 Samoa

Samoa have grown into this game, it must be said. For the first 25 minutes we worried this could be a blowout.

But in the early stages of this second half they are sharper into the tackles than they were early in the first.

    England have been sensational.

Every time Herbie Farnworth, Dom Young and Jack Welsby make a carry they leave people on the floor.

Samoa have not been able to live with them.
