    it is indeed a try.

Excellent play from hooker Jez Litten as he fizzes a big pass to outside centre Oliver Gildart, who draws the men in and slips it to Joe Burgess, who gets it down in the corner.

    Great stuff from the Robins.

But this time Arthur Mourgue can't convert.

  2. TRY REVIEWpublished at 24 mins

    Hull KR 8-0 St Helens

Referee Liam Moore signals an on-field try for Hull KR winger Joe Burgess as he touches down in the corner.

What's the verdict from TV referee Jack Smith?

    Hull KR 8-0 St Helens

Jack Welsby is back on the field and we are back to 13 v 13.

The damage while he was off - eight points.

  4. 'No Hull KR error'published at 17:58 BST 4 October

    Hull KR 8-0 St Helens

    Robbie Hunter-Paul
Former New Zealand international on BBC Two

I don't think in these opening 20 minutes that Hull KR have made an error.

And that's so important in this type of game.

    Hull KR 8-0 St Helens

Tristan Sailor knocks on in trying to keep a deep Mikey Lewis kick in play, and it's more Hull KR possession in the Saints half.

Those forwards in navy blue must be breathing heavily after this ferocious start from the hosts.

  6. converted try

CONVERTED TRY - Hull KR 8-0 St Helenspublished at 18 mins

    Mikey Lewis; con Arthur Mourgue

Who else but Mikey Lewis is there to touch down for Hull KR's opening try?

He spreads the play wide to Joe Burgess, carries on running and is on Burgess' shoulder to take the return pass and dive over.

A question of whether it was forward, but not given.

Another fine kick from Arthur Mourgue to add the two and the lead is more than a converted try.

  7. PENALTYpublished at 14 mins

    Hull KR 2-0 St Helens

Hull KR decide to go for the penalty from Jack Welsby's foul on Jez Litten.

Arthur Mourgue goes for the two points and the Frenchman nails an excellent kick.

    The Robins lead this play-off.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13 mins

    Hull KR 0-0 St Helens

    Now then!

Jack Welsby appears to have pulled back Jez Litten without the ball as Litten was chasing his own kick forward.

And Welsby is going to serve 10 minutes in the bin for a professional foul.

Maybe a slight mistake from Hull KR as Jez Litten's grubber kick on the last tackle is not read by any of his team-mates.

That allows Saints to gather and try to gain some distance.

But they complete their set with a kick to Joe Burgess, under little pressure, and the Robins can attack again.

  10. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Hull KR 0-0 St Helens

Hull KR have a very settled side and confident way of playing.

The big boys do the hard yards and punch holes down the middle before Mikey Lewis and co, can weave their magic.

St Helens have withstood some real hot stuff so far, but this will have emptied their tank a little bit.

St Helens know that where Tyrone May goes, the ball goes. And they are watching him.

That's going to come at them all night long.

    Hull KR 0-0 St Helens

St Helens have barely been out of their half but Harry Robertson comes up with a second big play in the space of a few minutes.

A crunching tackle on opposite centre Peta Hiku.

    Superb stuff from the teenager!

The opening 20 minutes pays dividends for the final 20 minutes.

You've got to play with discipline.

  14. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Hull KR 0-0 St Helens

Goodness, Hull KR have made an electric start as they put St Helens under more pressure.

Joe Burgess takes it down the wing and it needs a last-ditch interception from Harry Robertson to avert the danger.

  15. Postpublished at 3 mins

    Hull KR 0-0 St Helens

And now Tristan Sailor has to show a clean pair of heels as Hull KR put him under more pressure on the final play.

But the Saints man deals it with real aplomb!

  16. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Hull KR 0-0 St Helens

A good early take under the high ball from Tristan Sailor at the other end to complete Hull KR's first set.

Sailor, of course, comes from great rugby stock with his dad Wendell, an Australia international in both codes.

Hull KR boss Willie Peters told BBC Two:

"You're nervous and excited and it's a pleasure and privilege to be here and we never underestimate that.

"We've had a settled spine for a long period of time which certainly helps. We've had our key players playing the majority of games and that's why we're in the position we're in.

"We trained twice last week and the rest were days away. It's important to get some balance but it's important to get some work in."

  20. Team newspublished at 17:26 BST 4 October

Hull KR v St Helens (17:30 BST)

Hull KR have been in cotton wool for 16 days since winning the League Leaders' Shield and there is just one change to the side that beat Warrington Wolves.

Winger Joe Burgess has recovered from a calf injury and he returns in place of youngster Noah Booth to what feels a very settled and well-oiled Robins team.

Hull KR: Mourgue; Davies, Hiku, Gildart, Burgess; Lewis, May; Sue, Litten, Waerea-Hargreaves, Hadley, Batchelor, Minchella.

    Interchanges: Luckley, Whitbread, Martin, Broadbent.

One change to the St Helens line-up from the side that started at Leeds seven days ago and it sees Headingley hero Shane Wright come in.

Mark Percival injured his knee making a tackle in that one in west Yorkshire and misses this game in east Yorkshire.

St Helens: Sailor; Bennison, Robertson, Whitley, Cross; Welsby, Lomax; Walmsley, Clark, Lees, Sironen, Wright, Knowles.

    Interchanges: Mbye, Bell, Delaney, Stephens.
