Guernsey head coach Jordan Reynolds hopes his side's first win since the middle of October has put them on the "straight and narrow".

Guernsey beat Tonbridge Juddian 29-20 to get their second win in 11 games.

"It's something that hopefully puts us on the straight and narrow again," Reynolds told BBC Radio Guernsey.

"We needed a win like that, we've lost eight or nine games this year in the last five or six minutes and been losing our composure."

The win was Guernsey's third of the season, but they are still adrift at the bottom of National Three London & South East after having the points from one of those wins deducted for fielding an ineligible player.

It closes the gap between Guernsey and second-from-bottom Tring to five points going into the second half of the season.

"I think it's getting that belief into the guys," said Reynolds. "I think a lot of the time when we're playing one thing goes wrong and they automatically get that mindset that it's OK to lose.

"But our guys just stepped up to the mark, we had a good talk at half-time, came out in the second half and that victory was brilliant.

"We've still got so much to work on, there's so many areas that we need to fix, but to grind out a good win like that was perfect."
