Jordan Reynolds: Guernsey RFC can avoid relegation

Jordan Reynolds has seen his side win just three games all season

Guernsey head coach Jordan Reynolds says he does not think his side will stay in the National Three London relegation zone, despite more injuries.

Guernsey are four points adrift at the bottom of the table and host second-placed Chichester on Saturday with 19 players unavailable to Reynolds.

"I don't think we're going to be in the relegation zone," said Reynolds.

"If we pick up one win and results go our way, we're out of relegation, that's the difference at the moment."

Robin Le Cocq, Simon Sharrott, and Sam Whitehead are all out having been hurt in the loss at East Grinstead before Christmas, while captain Blair Campbell is still unavailable.

"There's a lot of games to pick up, but we've got to start targeting these home games make sure we start getting something out of them," Reynolds told BBC Radio Guernsey.

"We've got such a positive and strong squad.

"The talent is there, there's not a great deal of difference between this team (for Chichester) and the one that went away to East Grinstead, and we should have won that game, and East Grinstead haven't been beaten at home all year.

"There's a lot of confidence that we should be taking from that game and we're playing at home and that should make a huge difference for us."
