Jimmy Tucker hopes Launceston learn lessons from Canterbury loss

Launceston scored two tries as they drew the second half 12-12 with Canterbury

Launceston head coach Jimmy Tucker says he hopes his side are learning lessons after losing their 21st league game of the season against Canterbury.

The Cornish All Blacks went down 39-12 at home and are now 30 points adrift at the bottom of National Two South.

"That was the best attacking performance we've had for three months probably," Tucker told BBC Cornwall.

"We wanted to win this and they (the players) probably looked at this as as good an opportunity as we've got."

Launceston have yet to win a game all season, with their only positive result coming in a draw with Southend in November.

"They're learning lessons now and I hope they remember these times and I hope they learn their lessons," added Tucker.

"We're not getting used to losing and we don't want to get used to losing but these boys are getting their teeth kicked in week in, week out and they're bouncing back."
