  1. Yellow card 'sloppy' from Prendergastpublished at 15:26 Greenwich Mean Time

    Ireland 7-0 Fiji

    Chris Henry
Former Ulster & Ireland flanker on BBC Radio Ulster

He turned his shoulder in to finish off the tackle and it wasn't really needed. Having talked about not making the silly penalties, that's a bit sloppy and Ireland are really under pressure now for 10 minutes.

  2. No trypublished at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time

    Ireland 7-0 Fiji

A brilliant kick from Caleb Muntz sets tighthead prop Luke Tagi on the rampage down the right and he offloads to wing Jiuta Wainiqolo.

He comes so close but his reach is just short and he loses it forward.

  3. Sin-binpublished at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time

    Ireland 7-0 Fiji

Sam Prendergast is in trouble as he goes to the bin for leaning a shoulder into Kitione Salawa as Jacob Stockdale makes a tackle down the line.

Not ideal eight minutes into his first senior start.

  4. 'Really smart' play from Irelandpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time

    Ireland 7-0 Fiji

    Chris Henry
Former Ulster & Ireland flanker on BBC Radio Ulster

They would have been expecting the maul drive and then it was that lovely wee switch play so really smart from this Irish team and no better man to take the ball five metres out than Caelan Doris to crash his way over.

    Ireland 7-0 Fiji

    Jonathan Bradley

That's a nice, confident start from Ireland featuring plenty of the players brought in by Andy Farrell.

Jamie Osborne had a cracking opening to the game with some good aerial takes, while his fellow back-three player Jacob Stockdale getting involved early too.

Sam Prendergast found a nice touch for the penalty leading to the try and debuting Gus McCarthy bounces back from a crooked through on his first line-out to nail the second and set up Doris for the try.

Just what the head coach will have wanted!

  6. Postpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time

    Ireland 7-0 Fiji

Poor Craig Casey gets bounced twice in quick succession. The second one by Josua Tuisova is particularly brutal for the poor Munster scrum half!

  7. Postpublished at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time

    Ireland 7-0 Fiji

    Andy Gray
BBC Sport NI at the Aviva Stadium

That was a sweetly struck kick for Sam Prendergast's first points in an Ireland jersey.

Somehow, I don't think they will be the last.

  8. converted try

Converted try - Ireland 7-0 Fijipublished at 15:17 Greenwich Mean Time

    Caelan Doris (con Prendergast)

A super set piece from Ireland! Not only does Gus McCarthy nail his throw this time but he takes the ball off the top and makes ground before offloading inside to captain Caelan Doris to barrel over.

Sam Prendergast knocks over the conversion for his first senior international points. The first of many I would guess!

  9. Postpublished at 15:17 Greenwich Mean Time

    Ireland 0-0 Fiji

An Ireland penalty as Jamie Osborne is caught in the air as he takes another good catch. Prendergast goes to the corner this time and finds it beautifully.

    Lineout Ireland five metres out!

  10. Ireland 'up to challenge' of Fiji physicalitypublished at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time

    Ireland 0-0 Fiji

    Chris Henry
Former Ulster & Ireland flanker on BBC Radio Ulster

It's the physicality and the size of the (Fiji) players. They come at you and they love to tackle and love the physicality but Ireland look like they are up for the challenge.

  11. Postpublished at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time

    Ireland 0-0 Fiji

A nervy start for young Gus McCarthy as his feed at the lineout isn't straight. Scrum down Fiji on their own ten metre line.

  12. Postpublished at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time

    Ireland 0-0 Fiji

Jamie Osborne takes a high kick well and Ireland win a penalty for a ruck infringement. Sam Prendergast's first task is to kick for touch and he does so well over halfway.

  13. Kick-offpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time

    Ireland 0-0 Fiji

Caleb Muntz gets us underway on Hollie Davidson's whistle as Ireland receive the kick-off well.

  14. Ireland seeking 'better product' todaypublished at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time

    Ireland v Fiji (15:10 GMT)

    Gareth Steenson
Former Ireland fly-half on BBC Radio Ulster

When a team gets put back together there are always a few things that maybe don't go to plan - a little bit of indecision, indiscipline, individual errors. Hopefully we see a better product on the field against Fiji today.

Head coaches Andy Farrell and Mick Byrne have a chat pre-match. While the respect remains, I am sure the niceties will be parked for 80 minutes!

Two loud and proud renditions there from the home crowd and players. Now it is time for Ireland to face the Cibi!

  19. Stockdale 'back to 2018 form'published at 15:07 Greenwich Mean Time

    Ireland v Fiji (15:10 GMT)

    Jonny Bell
Former Ulster and Ireland centre on BBC Radio Ulster

Jacob (Stockdale) is back to that form he showed in 2018/19. He is full of confidence, he's full of skill and I feel he has deservedly got his opportunity today.

As always, a passionate rendition of the Fijian anthem. Now it is time for Amhrán na bhFiann and Ireland's Call.
