Behind Z Fagerson and Finn Russell, Jack Dempsey is Scotland’s third best/most important player. Always turns up. Does the dirty work. His try is well deserved for someone so unheralded

What is pleasing for me is they have given Argentina little time in the 22.

Scotland have been really secure in their defence apart from those offsides under no pressure.

That's the weakness in Scotland, but it's been a steady first half in which they have varied their attack.

That is the most difficult thing in the world to defend.

It is all about that patience and manipulation of the Argentine defence.

It is a more mature performance and we have learned from last week.

Will they change it in the second half to keep Argentina guessing?

A pretty good first half for Scotland. In possession, they have threatened.

Argentina are quite narrow and passive in defence.

Scotland have laid the trap. They have gone wide from side to side and then went through the middle.

That all points to Scotland being in control. In the second half of the first half, they have had to defend and done that quite well.

Big five minutes this before half-time.

Scotland's defence has dealt pretty well with the Argentina attack, but Los Pumas have shown glimpses of what they can do when they get their offload game going.

Argentina aren't getting much joy from the Scotland defence, so hoist a box-kick into the Edinburgh sky.

Blair Kinghorn can't gather cleanly and Los Pumas have a scrum just outside Scotland's 22.

It's another poor miss off the tee by Argentina's full-back.

It is so frustrating. You are defending so well and then give away silly offsides.

They shoot themselves in the foot. That's the third soft penalty they have given.

That's the patience we've been longing for.

We are seeing the importance of the kick battle and it is the forwards doing the damage.

It was just sheer brute power by Ewan Ashman getting it over the line.
