    As you were.

    Scotland 7-0 Argentina

This has been a full-throttle game so far. Both teams chucking the ball around with gay abandon.

Scotland stray offside and there's multiple players down on their haunches, such is the pace of play.

Juan Cruz Mallia chooses to kick at goal from distance.

As a former Scottish International athlete in 1970 Commonwealth Games at Meadowbank I really don't think Gregor Townsend has the belief and will to win at all costs! He has let the opposition off the hook too often when you need composure most and not attack.

Argentina make their way into Scotland's 22 with a powerful run from centre Santiago Chocobares.

They knock on though and Jamie Dobie clears.

A great line and Argentina in a bit of disarray.

Playing flat is a hard thing to defend.

    Jack Dempsey

A beautiful ball from Finn Russell unlocks the Argentina defence.

His eyes are looking back towards Sione Tuipulotu, but he fires a short pop pass to the onrushing Jack Dempsey, who gallops to the line for his second Scotland try.

    Russell adds the extras. Lovely.

    Scotland 0-0 Argentina

Robbie (15:06) - I don’t think beating New Zealand and then being beaten by double reigning world champions South Africa is a sign of Argentina’s inconsistency - it’s a sign that the rugby championship is pretty tough and Argentina hold their own. Also, not sure Scotland (who have never beaten the All Blacks) are in the same league as either New Zealand or South Africa.

Gregor Brown is off for an HIA.

Matt Fagerson replaces him in the Scotland back row.

    Scotland 0-0 Argentina

If my calculations are correct - if Scotland beat Argentina by 16 or more points today, and England do the same next weekend, it leaves Scotland on 82.73 world ranking points (and sixth place) and Argentina just below on 82.69. Only Australia, by beating France, could then snatch the sixth spot back assuming Scotland beat Tonga. Huge implications today in the context of the RWC draws!

After some swift fact checking, I reckon you're right, Edward.

    Scotland 0-0 Argentina

Finn Russell lofts an unnecessarily ambitious pass to no-one in particular and Argentina intercept.

Another Scotland visit to the opposition 22 comes to nothing.

    Scotland 0-0 Argentina

Someone's backside is fully out as Scotland kick to the corner and then maul their way towards the Argentina line.

    Big chance...

This is a penalty try for me.

Eight is not covering for me.

    No penalty try...

I'm not sure about that. The officials argue Joaquin Oviedo was covering in defence, but I don't think he's catching Jamie Dobie.

  16. Sin-bin Juan Cruz Mallia (Argentina)published at 5 mins

    Scotland 0-0 Argentina

Scotland slice through Argentina, putting Darcy Graham into open field.

The Hawick man attempts an audacious out-the-back pass to Jamie Dobie, which is deliberately knocked on by Juan Cruz Mallia.

It's a yellow card for the Argentina full-back, but might it be a penalty try to boot?

Positive start. Scotland stretching that Argentina defence.

With the amount of kicks already gone in, it is clear that is going to be a big part of this game.

The assistant referees are wearing exactly the same shade of blue as the Scotland players.

    Absolutely ridiculous.

    Scotland 0-0 Argentina

Scotland are chucking the ball around in the early stages, but don't get far so Jamie Dobie hoists a kick high into the air.

Argentina respond with a bomb of their own, which Scotland take and run into opposition territory.
