Such a contrast from the opening quarter of an hour a week ago from the visitors

Then, Ireland looked sluggish and low on energy at the end of a long World Cup season.

They've flown from the blocks this week, though - impressive linespeed and physicality in defence while Conor Murray's try featured some really sharp handling.

I've got to say there has been some poor clearances, even the dropout was poor and it invited Ireland back on the attack

It's knocked on by Doris as he goes to make a tackle, and the hosts will have the put in.

Andy Farrell was less than happy with how Ireland acquitted themselves in the first half in Pretoria.

There's a long way to go, but he'll be happier with this opening quarter of an hour.

Good platform for the Six Nations champions.

    Conor Murray (con Crowley)

    What a score!

Jack Crowley finds Jamie Osborne, who spots a gap and pops it off to Henshaw.

The centre strides forward and feeds Murray, who is free to score beside the posts.

That was so precise. The Springboks had no answer.

It's not a good look for Tadhg Furlong having a problem with his hamstring.

He is so important for Ireland. We were speaking about the power that South Africa can bring on and this guy is really important to this Irish side with his experience and his strength, we certainly want him to stay on.

Jamie Osborne does really well to gather a kick when under pressure from a number of white jerseys.

It's recycled back to Crowley, but he sticks his kick straight out of play.

It's an encouraging start. Obviously it's early, but Ireland look to have a little bit of zip and can they maintain that? That's the challenge throughout the game but it's a positive start.
