Alas, Canada win the line-out. Who else but Sophie de Goede? In the blink of an eye, Canada are storming Fiji's 22.

That was Fiji's best opportunity of the match.

For the first time, Fiji are edging towards that 22 of Canada's. They are bringing the energy.

    Canada 24-0 Fiji

Fiji cleanly take the line-out and shift play over to the right flank, Mereoni Nakesa driving forward and breaking the line to set Canada scrambling, albeit briefly.

Fiji win a penalty and Litiana Vueti punts for the corner. They have a line-out in Canada's 22.

Fiji win a penalty. The kick for touch isn't great, just clearing the halfway line, but they'll have a line-out in Canada's half.

Can they get on the scoreboard before half-time?

Fiji aren't playing like a team 24-0 down. They're flying in with big hits and sticking with their flair-first strategy.

Is there anything Sophie de Goede can't do. She doesn't even think about white-line fever and the she gives to Corrigan to do what she does best.

    Alysha Corrigan (con missed)

A Canada set-piece results in another try. They have four tries and that one secures the bonus point.

It's Alysha Corrigan's name on the scoresheet but it's another great contribution from Caroline Crossley, who accepts the offload and neutralises a couple of defenders before shifting the ball to the right wing.

Sophie de Goede misses the conversion but Canada are cruising.

  9. Canada's scrum is a 'weapon'published at 18:04 British Summer Time 23 August

As you can expect Canada's scrum as been very solid if not a weapon in this game so far.

Ohhhh space had opened up for Fiji but they knock the ball on. They're playing adventurous rugby but just lacking that little bit of quality.

Canada have a scrum on the 22, almost right in front of the posts. The referee is telling Fiji that they need more stability in their scrum.

Better pressure from Fiji there. Alex Tessier had to boot that clearing kick from inside her 22.

I'm not sure the ball has been that deep since kick-off.

We have not seen Fiji have the ball from in their half. They have been attacking from the defensive half.

    Canada 19-0 Fiji

Fiji enjoy another spell of possession - number eight Manuqalo Komaitai flattens a couple of Canada defenders with a sharp dart forward - but a handling error hands the ball back to Canada.

It's a familiar pattern for Fiji - get into Canada's half and give the ball away cheaply.

They then push too early at the scrum and Alex Tessier sends the ball back into Fiji's half with her boot.

They have done that without their fly-half. They played really smart and they took some big hits. An important moment for Canada to show that they can rally together.

    Caroline Crossley (con de Goede)

What a powerful run that is from Caroline Crossley, bouncing off Repeka Tove and crashing over the line.

That all came from Fiji giving away a penalty inside Canada's half.

Canada utilised their own quick offloads and rode a monstrous hit from Josifini Neihamu, who really is doing everything for Fiji at the moment, to set up their third try.

Josifini Neihamu looks like she's going to be the player who will cause Canada issues. She's rapid up the middle of the park.

Fiji offload well to keep themselves moving through their forwards but give away a penalty to let Canada off the hook.

Canada's Taylor Perry has received a yellow card for that head contact.

That also means Canada's try, which followed the overturned possession, will not count.

Can Fiji capitalise on their player advantage?

    That head contact looks nasty.

There's definitely head contact between Canada's Taylor Perry and the Fiji player as the latter tried to break away from the scrum.

  20. Try reviewpublished at 19 mins

Have Canada got another try inside 20 minutes?

The referee has given it as a try on-field but is checking for a possible double movement and a possible head contact.
