Munster will wonder how on earth they have gone into the sheds four points behind. They have had all the ball, all the territory and yet have only three points on the board.

Their woeful line-out work has been partly to blame, but they have also run into a very formidable Glasgow defence that has stood up well.

Franco Smith will be pleased how his side has weathered the storm to carve out a lead, but they need to tighten up their discipline in a big way. Nine penalties and two yellow cards conceded in that first half. A repeat after the break will be ruinous to their hopes of reaching a first URC final since 2019.

Glasgow have defended well but not massively brilliant. The yellow cards, I think the Richie Gray one is harsh, the referee never gave a warning. The Matt Fagerson one, you could argue is justified but I didn't think there was force. Glasgow are hanging on, they're 7-3 up, if they can hang on then I think they have a decent chance.

    HT: Munster 3-7 Glasgow

It's half-time in Limerick and despite the relative low scoring, it has been a frenetic 40 minutes.

Glasgow have been under the cosh for long periods but lead due to a Kyle Steyn try. However, they will spend the first nine minutes of the second period down to 14 men.

It's a penalty for me, he's going to give a yellow card but it's definitely not a red. For me it's a penalty only, there's no force in that at all.

What about that steal from Tom Jordan! He was the first man there as well!

    Munster 3-7 Glasgow

The lineout is stolen but as Glasgow kick the ball clear, Peter O'Mahony counters but appears to be caught high by flanker Matt Fagerson.

And it is another yellow for the Warriors on the stroke of half-time.

If they can keep Munster out here, then what a half it's been for Glasgow.

Tom Jordan is brilliant to watch, any time he's anywhere near a ruck, he's launching himself into it in in typically un-fly-half fashion. Something you don't expect from your 10.

  15. Postpublished at 18:42 British Summer Time 15 June

    Munster 3-7 Glasgow

Munster receive a goal-line drop-out and the ball is swept left to fan-favourite Simon Zebo but as he hares towards the line, Huw Jones comes across with a superb tackle to knock the winger into touch.

    Munster 3-7 Glasgow

    Colin Gregor
Former Glasgow Warriors back on Sportsound

Munster are putting the ball through the hands quite a lot, more than you'd expect. Glasgow have defended comfortably and it's been Munster errors that have halted their attack.

Glasgow just need to get their hands on a bit of ball now.

Both attacks quite clunky and neither can seem to string more than three phases together before making an un-enforced error.

This time, Shane Daly running into a teammate to concede a scrum on halfway.

    Munster 3-7 Glasgow

Glasgow with two errors in a minute that has them under pressure.

First Johnny Matthews throws crooked at the lineout, then Kyle Steyn knocks-on outside his own 22.

Fortunately for him Craig Casey knocks-on at the base of the scrum and it's Glasgow ball.

  19. Steyn stuns Thomondpublished at 18:33 British Summer Time 15 June

    Munster 3-7 Glasgow

    Andy Burke

That Kyle Steyn try came like a bolt from the blue and has stunned the Thomond Park crowd.

Munster were well on top for the opening quarter of this match and yet had only three points to show for it.

Warriors have defended resolutely and now they have a try from nothing to boost their spirits.

It's the first time we've had any rugby in the opening 24 minutes. It was pretty loose and frantic but at least the referee's whistle stopped dominating proceedings.

No better man for it to fall into the hands of with a 50 metre uninterrupted run in.
