BBC Sport Scotland at Stade de France

Scotland have been pretty much in survival mode from the first whistle.

They need to get hold of some ball and start working their way into this game.

It was coming, wasn't it? It's been 17 minutes of near constant pressure from France.

The quality of their team, you don't keep them out for that long.

  3. 'Filthy Fickou step' undoes Scotlandpublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    France 10-0 Scotland

    Benjamin Kayser
    Former France hooker on ITV

It is so, so good to see Gael Fickou back, the most capped player in this entire French squad and he is absolutely class.

A filthy step puts Yoram Moefana under the sticks.

Moefana has really stepped up in the number 12 jersey. He used to play on the wing, he was brilliant in defence against Ireland.

You have to take your opportunities when your opponent has a yellow card.

  4. converted try

Converted try FRANCE 10-0 Scotlandpublished at 18 mins

    Yoram Moefana

The home centres combine to devastating effect.

Gael Fickou steps out of a tackle and when he looks to his left for support, he sees Yoram Moefana who pins back his ears to score under the posts.

Thomas Ramos adds a simple conversion and the lead is up to 10 - it's fully deserved.

  5. 'Big win for Scotland'published at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    France 3-0 Scotland

    Fraser Brown
Former Scotland hooker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Scotland have been under so much pressure. France lost their feet and the maul goes to ground.

A huge victory for Scotland five metres from their own line.

  7. Jordan helping out the heaviespublished at 20:18 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    France 3-0 Scotland

    Benjamin Kayser
    Former France hooker on ITV

Tom Jordan will take full credit for that - dismantling the full French pack on his own.

    He did well.

The referee was well positioned and said the maul collapsed on its own, not illegally by Scotland.

Scotland somehow wrap up the ball at the latest maul and will have the feed at the resulting scrum.

Fabien Galthie will be in a state of disbelief that his side only lead by three points.

  9. Can Scotland combat French muscle?published at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    France 3-0 Scotland

    Scott Hastings
    Former Scotland player on ITV

We've had three or four lineout drives which are costing Scotland dear - and we've only played 13 minutes.

  10. Postpublished at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    France 3-0 Scotland

Another penalty goes against Scotland, this time at the lineout.

Finn Russell makes his case with referee Matthew Carley but gets short shrift.

    France go to the corner...

That maul was looking very dangerous. It's either infringe and take it down or you're behind your line down five points after a try.

  12. Ritchie yellow 'incredibly harsh'published at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    France 3-0 Scotland

    Fraser Brown
Former Scotland hooker on BBC Radio 5 Live

An excellent French maul, but that's incredibly harsh 10 minutes into a game.

  13. Sin-bin Jamie Ritchie (Scotland)published at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    France 3-0 Scotland

Another powerful French maul moves them into the Scotland 22 and earns them a penalty after Jamie Ritchie drags it down.

They are beating Scotland up in the forwards, and Ritchie is yellow carded.

  14. Postpublished at 20:14 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    France 3-0 Scotland

    Colin Gregor
Former Glasgow Warriors back on BBC Radio Scotland

You see how dangerous France are on the counter attack.

Fair play to Blair Kinghorn and Matt Fagerson getting back and Scotland just about get their scramble defence organised.

The phases before that, Scotland looked good. They had good tempo in their attack and real aggressive ball carries.

  15. 'Ntamack was a little greedy'published at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    France 3-0 Scotland

    Benjamin Kayser
    Former France hooker on ITV

Romain Ntamack was a little bit greedy there.

Does he step back inside, does he give the pass to Maxime Lucu?

Then the connection between the two locks on the next phase does not work out.

France are being forced to play, take a risk, and get loose - that's what you don't want to do against Scotland.

  16. Postpublished at 11 mins

    France 3-0 Scotland

Scotland just about scrambled back to halt Romain Ntamack in that previous attack and boot the ball clear after the hosts kncoked on.

  17. Postpublished at 9 mins

    France 3-0 Scotland

Strong carries from Tom Jordan and Zander Fagerson take Scotland deep into France's 22, but Darcy Graham knocks on and suddenly it's France piling forwards.

Breathless stuff in the Stade de France.

  18. Postpublished at 8 mins

    France 3-0 Scotland

Matt Fagerson now wins Scotland a penalty at the breakdown, which allows them to take a breather and win some territory.

  19. Scotland 'put themselves under pressure'published at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    France 3-0 Scotland

    Scott Hastings
    Former Scotland player on ITV

Real energy from both teams. Uini Atonio got the turnover - not often you get a steal from a big tighthead.

Scotland will want to move the ball from deep but they are going to put themselves under pressure.

  20. Postpublished at 7 mins

    France 3-0 Scotland

Uini Antonio gets his paws on the ball and wins France a turnover after Matt Fagerson dallies on the ball.

They spring into attack and only a covering Finn Russell denies the hosts an opening try.

They have made an electric start in search of the title.
