Injured England centre on BBC One

You don't want a lot of handling errors, both teams hold themselves to high standards, they want to be better than that and we can be better than that. I loved the energy on the edges, and that's where the contest lay. Mitch will be happy with that.

I thought Vahaakolo was phenomenal today, she really tested us on the edge. We pose a lot of questions in defence, we scrap back. Zoe Aldcroft's work rate and Alex Matthews' as well were outstanding.

England tested New Zealand, they were much more clinical than against France. It went a bit flat in the second half but they will take some learnings from it.

They will be pleased with how they started the game and how they ended it as well.

  4. 'We don't do friendlies'published at 16:33 British Summer Time 14 September

Player of the match Alex Matthews: "It is never a friendly in Test match rugby - we don't do friendlies. These are warm-ups, but we started something last year and want to build to the World Cup next year.

"We lost a bit of control, we didn't play in the areas of the field we wanted to as much, we were tired in the forwards but we came together at half-time. We have a great leadership group and we knew what to do.

"The momentum is great but we look at where we can grow and attack the gap."

Supporters are just as loud for the All Blacks right now as they have been for the Red Roses.
