A far more stop-start feel to this second half, as a few more players are now receiving treatment from the medics.

In the first half, we were saying Wales were throwing two players into each tackle.

Now Spain, they've noticed that so they're just trying to keep the ball alive and it's really disrupting that Welsh defence.

With the scrum now, they can reset and do what they do best, which is this structured style of rugby.

    Another scrum, another Wales penalty.

Total domination in that area so far.

Quick stop in play here as Gwenllian Pyrs receives some treatment.

Nothing serious though, and she is straight back to the far side of the field for the first scrum of the second half, which Wales have the put-in at.

I think getting into the second tier of the WXV is really important for Wales.

Welsh rugby generally needs a lot of work because most of the girls play in England.

Even Welsh schools rugby, there's so much to do.

Totally agree with Natalia. Wales looked at their most threatening at the set piece.

Would be surprised if they do not try to exploit that in the second half... which is starting now!

Wales' Natalia John speaking to S4C said: "We have to tighten up and go through the phases.

"He'll (Wales head coach Ioan Cunningham) probably be saying to go to the scrum and the lineout more."

When you're playing teams like England or New Zealand, there's not as much pressure because you're going in as underdogs, you almost thrive off that.

Wales should beat Spain. They're five places ahead in the world rankings, so there's almost more pressure as a player.

They need to do what they did in the first 10 minutes. They need that communication and the link between the forwards and the backs was outstanding in that first part.

After Carys Cox's yellow card, it seems like heads dropped.

We knew Spain have really impressive players, especially in attack, and we just saw that spark.

It's so close now. It's such an even game.

I think the yellow card created huge problems for Wales. That's what Spain were looking for, more space on the pitch.

They got two tries when Carys Cox was off the pitch.

The third try, that was just poor defending from Wales.

We've seen some brilliant things from Wales, but then Spain show us what they can do.

What a first half of rugby!

A real clash of styles between the Welsh pack and Spanish backs has produced six tries and plenty of action at both ends.

Wales must have thought they were on their way at 14-0 after just 12 minutes but the Spanish three-quarters are electric, especially the wing Perez.

I said it earlier and I'll say it again... this next 40 minutes is going to be a real test for Wales at the end of a disappointing season.

There are a few cracks appearing - both in their play and confidence - which Ioan Cunningham needs to sort out at half time.

    Aaaand breath!

What a frantic first half of rugby. A brilliant game for the neutral!

After 15 minutes you'd have been forgiven for thinking it would be an easy evening for Wales, as tries from Alex Callender and Abbie Fleming put the hosts 14-0 up.

But after a yellow card for Carys Cox for a deliberate knock-on, Spain came racing back.

Claudia Perez - who scored four tries in her last game against Sweden - crossed for the visitors, as did full-back Claudia Pena and prop Ines Antolinez.

But it is Wales who still lead, thanks to Alisha Joyce-Butchers' late score.

It's a great game so far.

We said it was going to be close, and I think both teams are showing what they can do.

Spain play a lot of sevens, and you can see that coming through.

Their backline, the scrum-half and the outside-half, they've got such good skill and speed.

    Claudia Perez

I did say it was end-to-end!

Spain go straight back down to the other end, and from an attacking line-out, wing Claudia Perez beats two Wales defenders with a weaving run to score a third Spanish try.

What a game we have on our hands.

Amalia Argudo is again off target with the conversion, so Wales remain in the lead - just!

We've seen character. Wales went back to what they're good at.

The forwards kept it tight, they know they're stronger and the try comes.

    Alisha Joyce-Butchers, con Keira Bevan

    Wales are back ahead!

Just as Spain did a few minutes ago, Wales make amends for missing an easy opportunity to score straight away.

This time it is flanker Alisha Joyce-Butchers who crosses for the score.

End-to-end stuff all of a sudden at the Arms Park.

Keira Bevan remains perfect with the boot, as Wales' lead grows to six.

    Oh so close!

It looks like Lisa Neumann is going to cross in the corner but try-scorer Claudia Pena gets across to make a brilliant try-saving tackle.

It is still with the red shirts of Wales though.
