Wales 14-15 Spain
Wales finally have some possession, and use the driving maul again excellently to work their way deep into the Spanish half.
Winning the play-off at Cardiff Arms Park sees Wales qualify for WXV2 in South Africa, plus also book a place at the 2025 World Cup in England. Spain will now play in WXV3 in Dubai

What a first half an hour we've had!

They've (Spain) got the wind in their sails now, and Wales have lost their way.
Wales are under so much pressure and they're losing their defensive shape.
Claudia Pena
Apparently Matt, not very well!
Spain have really made the most of the numerical advantage, and they are over once again through full-back Claudia Pena.
The extra player advantage was all too clear on the right wing, as Spain crossed with ease.
This time the conversion is missed, so Spain's lead is just one point.

It's going to be very interesting to see how Wales ride this out.
They weren't exactly brimming with confidence before today and Spain are sniffing weakness.
Test of character for Wales.
Wales 14-10 Spain
All one-way traffic at the moment!
Spain are into the Welsh 22 once again, though there was a suspiciously forward-looking pass in the build up.
Big moments for Wales.

They (Spain) look dangerous when they get the chance.
We can't relax at all, and defensively we have to put pressure on them.

In a way I'm glad they scored then because they should have scored before with the two-on-one.
They've really taken advantage of the fact that Wales are missing a player.
Wales 14-10 Spain
If anyone thought today would be a walk in the park for Wales they are now realising that is not true.
In fact, Spain have won seven of the 10 meetings between these two sides before today, with Wales winning two.

Only Lleucu George was back there defending.
I said minutes ago that we can't relax against a team like this, they play clever rugby.
They deserve that try.
Ines Antolinez, con Amalia Argudo
Game back on!
The try should have come 30 seconds earlier when Amalia Argudo was clean through with Claudia Pena on her left.
Instead the fly-half opted to kick through, and could not stay on her feet as she regained possession allowing the Welsh defence to scramble back.
It mattered not though, as a few phases later Ines Antolinez dived over for Spain's first try of the game.
Still a lot of time left on the sin bin!
Argudo is successful with the conversion and we have a game on our hands.
Wales 14-3 Spain
Spain return the kick-off into the Welsh half, and the ball is passed to Sisilia Tuipulotu.
There is a sense of anticipation as the Wales prop charges at the Spanish defence, it is not a tackle I'd want to make!
She makes a few metres before eventually being hauled down.
Wales still have possession on halfway.

Perhaps a little surprising that Spain went for the three points there but I guess right now, they just want to get something on the scoreboard with an easy shot in front of the posts.
Amalia Argudo
A simple penalty for Amalia Argudo, who makes no mistake and gets Spain on the board.
Wales 14-0 Spain
Referee Aurelie Groizeleau does not even need to check the TMO, Carys Cox is sent to the sin bin for the deliberate knock on.
Wales will have to play with 14 for the next 10 minutes.
Wales 14-0 Spain
Spain are back into the Welsh 22, centre Alba Vinuesa with a bursting run from halfway.
It looks like Carys Cox deliberately blocks a pass with one hand, she could be in trouble here.

The thing I've noticed the most is the communication and confidence within the backline.
I don't think we've seen anything like this in the last year.
They seem to be a different team today.
Wales 14-0 Spain
Wales look to use a training ground routine from an attacking lineout, but Sisilia Tuipulotu spills a pass forward.
In hindsight they probably should have gone back to the driving maul, but that is easy to say from up here in the stands.

You can see Wales' game plan quite early on. They're trying to spread that Spanish defence.
It's been really tiring for Spain.
Wales are doing really well, they're putting two into every tackle.
It's really slowing down the Spanish play and eventually turns into a turnover.
Wales 14-0 Spain
This is some driving maul!
Wales push the Spanish defence back a good 15-20 metres from that lineout, before a lovely cross-field kick to Carys Cox works them inside the 22 again.
If the last quarter of an hour is anything to go by, Spain could be in more trouble here.
