    Abby Dow

Wow! What a score to illuminate the second half. Ellie Kildunne finds Abby Dow on her shoulder but she's got maybe 45m to go, she jags inside one tackle, weaves past another and is only half stopped by the third Scotland player and is able to finish.

    Superb!

Holly Aitchison can't make the kick for the first time.

Scotland have managed this last 10 minutes or so very well. They haven't overplayed and they've kicked well.

The wind has changed a little bit and it's definitely helping their kicking game.

After the horse has bolted and all that but it's actually 7-7 in the second half. Putting in a complete 80-minute performance will be on the wishlist as we head to the World Cup.

France were pretty abject for 40 minutes earlier on.

Scotland are on the board, but England are the only team yet to concede a try in the closing 20 minutes of their matches in this year’s Women’s Six Nations, while 50% (6/12) of the tries Scotland have conceded have come in that period — the highest rate of any team.

Absolutely superb the way they went through the process from the line-out.

That is the first time Scotland have scored against England for two years.

Better from Scotland, they have England pinned back. Can they get on the board? No, England counter ruck and somehow win the ball back after a massive tackle on Chloe Rollie.

MacDonald is a bundle of energy and has been everywhere. Competition for places is exactly what John Mitchell wants and it will be hard to leave her out of a Grand Slam-decider.

It doesn't get any better than that. Accuracy, the speed of ball, the passes, the way they kept the ball live and Claudia MacDonald had the easiest part of the move. That ball is on a plate and the pass came from the back row not the fly-half.

It's a brilliant example of doing all the basics of rugby at their very best.

  20. 'I was terrified to be anywhere near a rugby pitch'published at 17:56 British Summer Time 19 April

Speaking before the Red Roses began the defence of their title, Claudia MacDonald said she was "terrified" of being near anything rugby related after a serious neck injury.

"I made a tackle and the next second I was on the floor not able to move my arms or legs so it was pretty scary in the first few moments," said MacDonald.

"In the first couple of months, playing wasn't even on the radar - it was about trying to get my mind around what had happened.

"I was terrified to be anywhere near a rugby pitch or a rugby ball. I didn't want to have my back away from the wall as I didn't want anything behind me because I was scared of being knocked.

"I barely left my house and I was told not to go in a car so it was all quite scary but thankfully we got past all of that."

With two tries today, she really has...
