Hogan-Rochester takes advantage of 'open road ahead' to give Canada the lead
What a start! Canada burst into the lead as the Maple Leafs switch the ball to the left wing about 30 metres out where Asia Hogan-Rochester has acres of room in front of her and once she gets running, nobody can catch her.
There were still plenty of empty seats 15 minutes before kick-off at Ashton Gate, but considering the match is being staged in a 27,000-seater venue without any home nations teams, I think you can allow it not being full to the brim.
A reminder that it was only a few years ago that England's record crowd was short of 5,000.
Canada's head coach Kevin Rouet, speaking to BBC Sport: "I think it was a positive week for us. We have both improved a lot, it's going to be a fair battle."
Canada deliver dominant performance with win over Wales
Canada are ranked number two in the world. This tournament they expect to reach their first World Cup final since 2014 and who knows, maybe go on and win the whole thing.
The Maple Leafs were untroubled during the pool stage, thrashing Fiji, Scotland and Wales.
Australia will be a tougher test, but one the North Americans should pass.

Australia's head coach Joanne Yapp, speaking to BBC Sport: "It's about fronting them up physically. We have to be brave and be prepared to move the ball.
"You get one shot and one opportunity. They have to be brave enough and take their opportunities today. It's a do-or-die moment."
