Speaking to Premier Sports, Leinster head coach Leo Cullen said: "It wasn't a knockout game but it had a real feel to it.
"We did well to take our chances in the first half and built up a lead that we defended well. We are looking forward to welcoming an in-form Bath team to Dublin next week."

Speaking to Premier Sports, Leinster captain Caelan Doris said: "We knew we would have to front up coming over here and we did.
"We have built up a bit of a rivalry with La Rochelle and there were a lot of battles out there and a lot of respect but we are absolutely delighted with that."
It's been a busy Sunday with three games already.
Harlequins' hopes hang in the balance after defeat by Toulon, while Bristol remain alive after edging past Benetton.
Leinster's pursuit of a fifth star on the jersey continues to gain momentum with an excellent win at La Rochelle.

Speaking to Premier Sports, Bristol hooker Harry Thacker said: "We came into the game wanting five points. We did it but we made it hard for ourselves.
"We are in the mix. You don't get many chances in the Champions Cup but we feel like we have a chance. We go to Clermont next which is a hard pace to go but we have got a chance."
Monumental Leinster defence! Leinster hold out over three minutes of La Rochelle pressure after the scrum including an heroic charge down from Josh van der Flier as Antoine Hastoy lined up the game-winning drop goal!
In the end, the hosts trying to force the issue throw an offload forward and Leinster celebrate!
That was an absorbing game of rugby and a huge victory on the road for Leinster. Will these two meet again later in the competition? All rugby fans will be hoping so!

Benetton run it through the backs and the dummy line frees Tomas Albornoz, whose double pump hands Rhyno Smith another try.
But Tommaso Menoncello is penalised for running into Kalaveti Ravouvou.

Ross Byrne is into the game and his first task is a penalty kick straight in front. Not the simplest kick from range but he pushes it wide. That would have been a crucial three points.

Benetton have just lifted their level as they chase the game late on.
Tommaso Menoncello makes another impressive break but his pass to Matt Gallagher is a bit wild and sails into touch.
Bristol can relieve the pressure.

That is absolutely sublime from the hosts! Antoine Hastoy puts a cross-field kick straight into the bread basket of Dillyn Leyds on the left wing. Ciaran Frawley tracks out to cover him but the South African winger grubbers into the corner and it seems to take an age to settle but he dives on it for the score.
Hastoy misses the crucial but difficult extras but this game is finely in the balance with just over ten minutes to go!
