I'm worried. Finn Russell will be a big loss for Scotland.

The Ireland players are standing up individually and collectively and making this a miserable first half for Scotland. They haven't thrown a punch.

To make matters even worse for Scotland, Finn Russell has failed his HIA.

Tom Jordan will be at 10 for the remainder of this game.

  3. converted try

Converted try Scotland 0-17 IRELANDpublished at 32 mins

    Caelan Doris

    It felt inevitable.

Ireland are getting over the gain-line almost at will, and their captain Caelan Doris smashes his way over the line for the visitors' second try of the game.

Sam Prendergast converts to make it a 17-point lead.

    This is a critical period.

It's been a tough old slog for Scotland out there but a 10-point deficit at half-time would not be catastrophic in the context.

Ireland will feel they need another score to make their dominance count.

  5. 'The kicking game has won by Ireland'published at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February

    Scotland 0-10 Ireland

    Sam Warburton
Former Wales captain on BBC One

In the last 10 minutes, the kicking game has won by Ireland. The kick chase and charge downs have been on top of that. Scotland aren't kicking as smartly.

The dominance is coming from great tactical kicking.

Unbelievable that Scotland are still in this game. Only just though. An absolutely dominant Irish display so far.

    Ireland are suffocating Scotland.

Stafford McDowall slices a kick as he attempts to take the hosts downfield and Ireland now have a lineout in Scotland's 22.

    Jamison Gibson-Park claps his approval.

    No, they cannot.

Peter O'Mahony wins a turnover, and a wonderful clearing kick from Sam Prendergast takes the Irish to the edge of Scotland's 22.

He has been excellent so far.

Perhaps the only positive for Scotland is that having been thoroughly outplayed for 26 minutes, they only trail by 10 points.

They find themselves in Ireland's half - can they take advantage of some rare territory?

While it's poor play from Ireland to allow themselves to be held up over the line twice, I think the current law incentivises the defending team to fall back over the line in order to win the turnover. Instead of a goal-line drop-out I think the attacking team should restart with a line-out or scrum on the 22.

Sam Prendergast is such a threat the way he narrows Scotland's defence. His kicking game has been great too.

Scotland concede yet another penalty, and Sam Prendergast splits the posts off the tee.

Duhan van der Merwe is back on for the home side.

    Scotland 0-7 Ireland

There has been a huge disparity in ruck speed over the first quarter of this game.

Two-thirds of Ireland's attacking breakdowns are seeing the ball come away in under three seconds, compared to just one-third for Scotland.

Lee: Another Six Nations game decided early by the referee. Ref wanted to give the yellow long before seeing the video replay.

    Scotland 0-7 Ireland

    Andy Burke
    BBC Sport Scotland at Murrayfield

    Scotland look spooked out there.

Ireland are doing what they do and doing it very well, but Scotland look flustered on the rare occasions they get their hands on the ball.

It's following a familiar pattern so far and the Scotland fans are concerned they have seen this movie before.

    Scotland 0-7 Ireland

Stafford McDowall is on for Finn Russell as the Scotland fly-half goes off for an HIA.

Tom Jordan will shuffle from 12 to 10.

Meanwhile, Darcy Graham is being taken from the field on a stretcher - Jamie Dobie, usually a scrum-half, replaces him on the wing.

Andrew: "No penalty try because the ball ends up going dead." Yes, because Nash was lying on his back on the floor, which is what you gave the penalty for. Baffling decision-making from the referee and his team there.

    More worry for Scotland.

Darcy Graham collides with Finn Russell and they both look very groggy.

There are only two backs on the Scotland bench, remember.

What a let-off for Scotland. Kinghorn has time to kick or pass.

He checks twice, the ball is charged down and Scotland back under pressure.
