  1. 'That hurt us'published at 16:24 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    FT: Ireland 27-42 France

Ireland captain Caelan Doris, speaking to ITV: "I think we didn't control it well enough in the middle section of the second half. There was some discipline with some back-to-back penalties, we gave them entry but they played their power game. They got a bit of momentum and when we got tight defensively, they can spread it wide to score. That hurt us, big time."

This French team, to go away from home, lose your best player Antoine Dupont to injury, and have all the answers, is quite something.

Physically and in terms of skill, France brought it all out. The defensive performance was magnificent.

France were incredible. There was a gulf between the teams. France clicked and Ireland had no answer.

Just a reminder that France host Scotland in Paris next week, while Ireland travel to Italy to take on Rome.

England face Italy tomorrow and can't be ruled out of the title race yet, but it's France's to lose from here.

It's an absolute hammering and some Ireland fans are leaving.

A day that promised so much has delivered nothing for Ireland.

This is France's day - a magnificent performance - and unless they slip up against Scotland they will win the title.

Try - Ireland 13-42 Francepublished at 16:04 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Damian Penaud (con Ramos)

It's a shambles from Ireland. It's pure joy for France.

Thomas Ramos reads Sam Prendergast's pass on his own line. He grabs it and sprints clear, unselfishly pops it to Penaud, who has more than enough to score.

From one end to another in the blink of an eye.

    Ramos converts.
