Max Williamson appears to have got the ball down for Scotland's third try.

    Scott Cummings certainly thinks so.

Never a red card. I understand the need to protect players but red carding every rugby incident is ruining the game we love.

    Sean

What a farce that the yellow was upgraded. What on earth has this great game become???

    Ian

The game is gone if that’s a red card. He just goes over the top then grabs his leg a bit.

    Scotland 14-0 Tonga

Scotland scrum-half Ben White chucks the ball away, allowing Tonga to hack the ball downfield.

Scotland benefit from broken field though, racing back to the fringes of Tonga's 22 before winning a penalty for a late tackle of George Turner.

That looked a bit like a a shoulder charge from Lotu Inisi, but it's just a penalty.

  4. 'Handling has been good'published at 14:03 GMT

    Scotland 14-0 Tonga

    Chris Paterson
Former Scotland international on BBC Scotland

The handling has been good actually.

The pitch will be really wet, really heavy, for the amount of rain we've had.

With all that possession the skillsets have been good so far.

Scotland are away again through the galloping Tom Jordan, but a penalty goes against him after he's hauled to ground.

There is no denying that Townsend has had a significant impact on Scottish rugby. This impact, however, appears to be diminishing. Chaotic rugby played at pace cannot be your only game-plan. Scotland lack solid game management on and off the field. Vern Cotton understood the importance of solid defence before anything else. It's a shame he wasn't given more time to develop Scotland. GT was given the job too soon, he needed to prove himself more at domestic level before he stepped up.

  9. 'A really good try'published at 13:56 GMT

    Scotland 7-0 Tonga

    Peter Wright
    Former Scotland prop on Sportsound

That's what Scotland need to do.

From those deeper positions try and get those line breaks.

If you play in front of them the whole time, they're going come at you.

That's a really good try from Scotland

    Jamie Ritchie

    It's been coming.

Andy Onyeama-Christie started it off by pinching a Tongan lineout and then carried Scotland to within touching distance of the try line.

Scotland go through a few more phases before Jamie Ritchie crashes over.

The former captain salutes to the crowd in celebration before Fergus Burke adds the extras.
