Ireland are putting good pressure on and territory wise, it has been all in Australia's half. It [a try] feels like it's coming but they need to be more clinical with the last passes.

That's a lot more fluid by Ireland, but Bealham is penalised for holding onto the ball from the ruck.

Australia will be really pleased, they haven't been up this end of the pitch at all, one chance and they have three points. Ireland haven't been tested too much so far.

A very staccato start to the game with a few handling errors and plenty of time spent setting and re-setting some fairly messy scrums.

Feels like the Aviva Stadium is still waiting for this one to spring into life.

    Straight between the posts.

There was definitely a bit of head on head contact between McCarthy and Valetini.

Referee Andrea Piardi feels it is only worth a penalty. He says it was a 'low level of danger', and McCarthy will stay on the pitch.

    Lolesio points to the posts.

I think McCarthy could be in trouble, as a tackler I think McCarthy has to dip, he could be lucky if he stays on.

    Ireland 0-0 Australia

    Chris Henry
Former Ulster & Ireland flanker on BBC Radio Ulster

It's another big test for Finlay Bealham, he plays a lot of minutes when Tadgh Furlong is out, he gets a lot of involvements and a lot of carries in a match, and they have a lot of trust in him. It's another big test for him against two experience props.

  17. TMOpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

We're going for a TMO check after Joe McCarthy came together with Valetini in a tackle.

Australia are making some ground in the Irish half here with some neat rugby.

Valentini looks to break away but his offload falls to the ground and that halts any momentum.

Ireland have the line out just inside the Aussie half as the visitors looked to play a bit from the scrum on their own line.

It's not a great throw. It's pinched by Rob Valentini and Australia have it.
