What's going on with Katie Boulter? You'd have expected her to carry on the momentum from her fightback in the first set but here she is a double break down and having to do it all again.

The crowd did their best to pick her up mid-game after a double fault was followed by a shot that went long, but there were groans after more costly mistakes.

    Time to dig deep.

Game, set and match - Alcarazpublished at 17:58 British Summer Time 2 July

    Alcaraz 6-1 6-4 6-4 Tarvet

Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz progresses to the third round as Ollie Tarvet bows out.

But what a performance from the Brit on his Centre Court debut.

He gave as good as he got for large portions of that match.

The pair embrace at the net, with Alcaraz wrapping his arm around Tarvet and congratulating him on his display.

The Spaniard's hunt for a third Wimbledon title is still alive.

  3. Double break for Sierrapublished at 17:57 British Summer Time 2 July

    Boulter 7-6 (9-7) 1-4 Sierra*

Double faults were an issue for Katie Boulter for a brief time during her first-round win over Paula Badosa.

The British number managed to pull herself out of it in that match but it's been a fairly consistent problem today - it's 10 double faults now for Boulter.

It allows Solana Sierra to bring up another couple of break points. The first is saved but Boulter puts the ball into the net on the second.

Seems likely that it'll go to a deciding set for Boulter again.

The body language and focus of Oliver Tarvet doesn't appear to have dipped at all. You often see players go a little flat after they've lost a set, he hasn't been like that.

The scoreboard is irrelevant really in the big picture of this match. We've already seen the quality Oliver Tarvet can build upon so he shouldn't necessarily be looking at what the scoreboard ends up being in this match.

She comes through to hold, though, with a sizzling backhand winner to finish it off.

Few things cause a bigger groan here than someone in the crowd failing to catch a tennis ball, as just happened now. That's quite a lot of pressure for the potential catcher to shoulder.

Speaking of pressure, that's what Solana Sierra has been putting Katie Boulter under, but the Brit deals with it well to take the first set. It was nowhere near as comfortable as she would have liked but she got the job done, prompting huge cheers from the crowd.
