  1. Borges holdspublished at 14:55 British Summer Time 2 July

    Borges 2-1 Harris*

Billy Harris holds to love in his opening service game.

Nuno Borges then does the same as Brit Harris thumps a forehand long.

Early stages but strong hitting from both players so far.

  2. Bouzkova holdspublished at 14:53 British Summer Time 2 July

    *Sabalenka 7-6 (7-4) 1-2 Bouzkova

Just like in the first set, Marie Bouzkova is showing real composure and is refusing to yield in the face of the power of Aryna Sabalenka.

It's another solid hold despite a bit of Sabalenka magic, deceiving Bouzkova with a lovely floated forehand down the line as the Czech darted to her right at the net anticipating the cross-court shot.

  3. Norrie breakspublished at 14:52 British Summer Time 2 July

Cam Norrie breaks in the third!

Again the Brit relies on his monster forehand, leaping backwards to give himself some room, before unleashing a cross-court thunderbolt winner.

  5. Two break points Norriepublished at 14:51 British Summer Time 2 July

    Norrie 4-6 6-4 2-1 Tiafoe*

Stunning, absolutely stunning forehand passing attempt on the run from Norrie which puts Tiafoe on the ropes. Wellied.

    15-40.

  6. Borges holdspublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 2 July

    Borges 1-0 Harris*

Billy Harris progressed through qualifying to reach Wimbledon this year after the Brit make his debut appearance last year thanks to a wildcard.

He is ranked 151 in the world and faces Portuguese Nuno Borges on court two.

It's not the best start to the match for Harris who returns into the net before hitting a forehand long as Borges holds to love in his opening service game.

  7. Sabalenka holdspublished at 14:47 British Summer Time 2 July

    Sabalenka 7-6 (7-4) 1-1 Bouzkova*

    Brilliant from Aryna Sabalenka.

Marie Bouzkova looks to be in a great position to earn a break point at 30-30, advancing to the net and showing great touch with a drop volley.

However, Sabalenka gets to it and finds a great angle, cross-court to beat Bouzkova before going on to hold.

  8. Norrie holdspublished at 14:47 British Summer Time 2 July

    Norrie 4-6 6-4 2-1 Tiafoe*

Tidy stuff from Cam, who holds to 15 with a backhand right into the corner.

  9. Tiafoe holdspublished at 14:44 British Summer Time 2 July

    *Norrie 4-6 6-4 1-1 Tiafoe

30-30 and Norrie and Tiafoe get dragged into an epic rally, with a proper battle of the backhands.

Eventually Norrie gambles and runs forward, but he gets exposed pretty quickly and Tiafoe chips over a passing winner.

Tiafoe aces the next point to hold.

  10. Bouzkova holdspublished at 14:43 British Summer Time 2 July

    *Sabalenka 7-6 (7-4) 0-1 Bouzkova

Marie Bouzkova is not letting the way the first set slipped away from her affect her at the start of the second.

A straightforward hold for the world number 48.

  11. Norrie starts third with hold to lovepublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 2 July

    Norrie 4-6 6-4 1-0 Tiafoe*

After a toilet break for Norrie we're ready for a third set on Court One. Frances Tiafoe will be kicking himself. He had three break points at 4-4 which he failed to convert.

Anyway, that's gone now. We're back to the action. And it's Norrie who remains in control, holding to love.

Barbora Krejcikova has just had to delay her serve while trying to swat away a pesky fly.

It took my mind back to the horrors of 2018, when flying ants covered the grounds here and caused havoc for players, spectators and staff.

After a quick bit of research, it sounds like we aren’t expecting ‘flying ants day’, as it’s known, to arrive until later in July this year. Phew.

I doubt that insect will be returning after being struck by a sweet forehand from the defending women’s champion…

    .

The Court One crowd is witnessing some excellent tennis here and they were on their feet after that gutsy display by Cam Norrie to take the second set.

The former British number one was a ball of energy at times, bouncing up and down as he awaited Frances Tiafoe's serve. He's drawing on the energy provided by the vocal home fans.

Everyone here is delighted there's plenty more tennis to come.

    Crisis averted for Aryna Sabalenka.

A break down late in the first set, the Belarusian broke back and clinches the tie-break with a fizzing forehand winner.

Marie Bouzkova will be frustrated she couldn't serve it out but she is still right in this match on Centre Court.

    What a return!

Aryna Sabalenka climbs into a Marie Bouzkova serve with a brutal backhand winner that is down the line and past the Czech before she can move.

Mini break for the world number one.

  18. Third set-point Norriepublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 2 July

Tiafoe drags a backhand wide. Third time's a charm?

  19. Second set-point savedpublished at 14:33 British Summer Time 2 July

    Norrie 4-6 5-4 Tiafoe*

Strong first serve from Tiafoe and he finishes things off with a volleyed winner.

  20. Second set-point Norriepublished at 14:33 British Summer Time 2 July

    Norrie 4-6 5-4 Tiafoe*

Top stuff again from Norrie who has Tiafoe on the move, and the American wallops one into the net.
