  1. Second break point Pinnington Jonespublished at 19:16 British Summer Time 1 July

    *Etcheverry 6-7 (4-7) 2-3 Pinnington Jones

A much-needed big first serve in the corner sets Tomas Martin Etcheverry on his way to saving the break.

Etcheverry goes too big with a forehand and Jack Pinnington Jones will have another opportunity.

  2. Break point Pinnington Jonespublished at 19:14 British Summer Time 1 July

    *Etcheverry 6-7 (4-7) 2-3 Pinnington Jones

This match has been so intense.

Tomas Martin Etcheverry stands firm as Jack Pinnington Jones becomes the aggressor. Etcheverry cuts across with a forehand for advantage but he's dragged back to deuce by the Briton.

And Pinnington Jones squeezes one down the line for break point.

  3. 'Baez avoided a knockout'published at 19:13 British Summer Time 1 July

    Draper 6-2 6-2 2-1 Baez (ret)

    Todd Woodbridge
Former Wimbledon doubles champion on BBC TV

These are the things that you work for, you practice hard for.

Sebastian Baez just avoided a knockout basically.

Jack Draper's performance was everything you could have hoped for.

  4. Deucepublished at 19:12 British Summer Time 1 July

    *Etcheverry 6-7 (4-7) 2-3 Pinnington Jones

Jack Pinnington Jones has a fair few tricky shots in his locker and one of them is his backhand.

The Briton gets to 15-15 with a backhand winner.

Tomas Martin Etcheverry takes a leaf out of Pinnington Jones' book and volleys a winner at the net.

This time it's the cross-court forehand from Pinnington Jones to get to deuce.

  5. Draper cruises throughpublished at 19:12 British Summer Time 1 July

    Draper 6-2 6-2 2-1 Baez (ret)

Jack Draper will have more difficult challenges ahead, for sure - he was well in control even before Sebastian Baez received treatment following that slip in the second set.

Ten aces, 25 winners, 66% of first serves in and only five points lost on serve in the entire match.

He's speaking on court to Rishi Persad right now - full quotes from the British number one to come.

A break to love and Jack Draper inches ever closer to round two - which would equal his previous best performance at Wimbledon, remember.

Oh - in fact he's there... Sebastian Baez is unable to play on because of that earlier injury and looks a bit emotional as he leaves Court One.

Draper goes through to a second-round meeting with Marin Cilic.

  7. Pinnington Jones holdspublished at 19:07 British Summer Time 1 July

    *Etcheverry 6-7 (4-7) 2-3 Pinnington Jones

Jack Pinnington Jones is playing some top-quality tennis on his Grand Slam debut.

A hold to 15 keeps him ticking over.

I'm starting to get the feeling this second set is also destined for a tie-break.

  8. 'Zverev uses his weapons too defensively'published at 19:06 British Summer Time 1 July

He gets involved in these long matches early in the slams and it takes so much out of him.

I am a big believer that he has the weapons to win majors and we just haven't seen it. He is using his weapons to defend rather than attack - the winners of the majors are the ones who play proactively.

Hopefully this is a kick in the pants to start making subtle changes. I am bemused that he is standing that far back on the baseline on grass.

  9. Draper holdspublished at 19:06 British Summer Time 1 July

    Draper 6-2 6-2 1-1 Baez*

A swift reply from Jack Draper, despite dropping only a fifth point on his serve in the whole match with an off-target backhand.

    Ace number 10 quickly follows.

A late change to the order of play means a lucky bunch of punters have scrambled over to court 14 to get seats to watch former Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina.

She was scheduled to play on court 3 but with the previous match on there still ongoing she’s been moved to the smaller outdoor court.

She’s up against Armenia’s Elina Avanesyan in her opening round contest.

Tomas Martin Etcheverry is serving big in this second set.

The Argentinean picks up his fourth ace en route to a hold to love. He's already matched his total of aces from the entire first set.

  12. Baez holdspublished at 19:02 British Summer Time 1 July

    *Draper 6-2 6-2 0-1 Baez

That's much more like it from Sebastian Baez, who holds to love at the start of the third set.

A mountain to climb from here for the world number 38.

Arthur Rinderknech has knocked out third seed Alexander Zverev!

He didn't want to leave anything to chance in that final game, attacking each point with intent to give himself a three match point buffer. He needed two of those before a wonderful cross-court backhand sealed victory.

The Frenchman falls to his knees. It might have taken four hours and 40 minutes to beat the German, but victory on a tennis court surely will have never tasted sweeter!

    Take a bow, Arthur Rinderknech.

  15. Pinnington Jones holdspublished at 19:00 British Summer Time 1 July

    *Etcheverry 6-7 (4-7) 1-2 Pinnington Jones

Tomas Martin Etcheverry goes all in on a lob as Jack Pinnington Jones steps up to the net but he gets too much on it and trails 40-30.

Pinnington Jones comes up good with a forehand to hold.

  16. 'Good draw for Draper'published at 19:00 British Summer Time 1 July

    Draper 6-2 6-2 0-0 Baez*

    Todd Woodbridge
Former Wimbledon doubles champion on BBC TV

There is a sense of freedom about the way Jack Draper is throwing his racquet at the ball.

This is a good draw for him to be able to settle in.

Having never gone past the second round here, that's the next big challenge for Draper and facing Marin Cilic would be quite a big one.

Sebastian Baez just needs to work on his service games and just go point by point.

It is about holding his own serve and that is the most important thing at this time.

  17. Postpublished at 18:59 British Summer Time 1 July

    Draper 6-2 6-2 0-0 Baez*

Jack Draper lost only two of the 18 points on his serve in the second set, winning all 12 when his first serve went in.

A superb serving performance from the British number one.

    Jonathan Jurejko

Presumably Sebastian Baez is still feeling the effects of that slip on the baseline earlier.

It's treacherous stuff, this slick grass, on the opening few days - even in these parching conditions.

A lot of understanding nods from the physio towards the Argentine, who I thought might go to the locker room for further treatment but instead jogs back out onto court.

This looks almost certain to finish quickly - either by Draper racing through or Baez calling it a day.

  19. Game and second set - Draperpublished at 18:57 British Summer Time 1 July

    Draper 6-2 6-2 0-0 Baez*

Two more aces and an unreturnable serve on set point secure the second set for Jack Draper, who has only been on court for an hour and three minutes.

  20. Queuing for the Wimbledon classicpublished at 18:56 British Summer Time 1 July

    Gary Rose
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

    .

We love a queue, don’t we? Well there’s few bigger at Wimbledon than the one for strawberries and cream.

I’ve regularly seen staff hurriedly walking to the back of the store transporting crates of the stuff, as A LOT is consumed here.

Apparently 28,000kg of strawberries are eaten over the two weeks at Wimbledon. That’s heavier than around five elephants.
