    Muller 1-4 Djokovic*

That's what the best can do to you.

Alexandre Muller did very little wrong there and played some brilliant tennis of his own - particularly a deft drop shot at 30-30.

But Novak Djokovic is relentless, taking his French opponent to deuce three times before capitalising on break point.

He's in full control of this first set now.

  9. Watch: Third seed Zverev knocked outpublished at 19:26 British Summer Time 1 July

De La Soul would have you believe that three is a magic number (what a banger, by the way) but it's not been lucky in terms of the Wimbledon seedings this year.

Alexander Zverev and Jessica Pegula have both fallen to first-round defeats at SW19, with Zverev beaten in five sets by Arthur Rinderknech in a match that was carried over from last night.

    Draper 6-2 6-2 2-1 Baez (ret)

British number one Jack Draper, speaking on court after Argentine opponent Sebastian Baez retired: "I wanted to play a bit longer in all honesty. It is no way to win like that and I wish Sebastian [Baez] the best in his recovery of course."

On how he deal with pressure: "I don't think about it until people mention it every five minutes! I just think about what I can control and play the best tennis I can. You can't think about any of that. I'm really looking forward to this next week or so, it's going to be great.

"I have to face whoever is in front of me, I can't be thinking about five matches ahead. I focus on whoever is up next. Everyone who is in this draw is in on their own merit, they can all play incredible tennis. Until I earn my place in the next round, I'm not there yet."

It is quite apt that the two Jacks have been flying the flag for the British players this evening.

During their late teens the two would travel together for training, with Draper picking up Pinnington Jones at 6:15am, predominantly to avoid traffic by leaving at that time.

While Pinnington Jones has been at university in Texas recently the two remain good friends. Draper is through, and Pinnington Jones is battling well here to join him.
