    The world number three progresses in straight sets after running away with the tie-break 7-3 after one hour and 43 minutes.

    Speaking in her on-court interview she describes the match as "really physical".

    "I'm just really happy I did it in straight sets," Pegula adds, still catching her breath after producing that big finish to settle the tie-break efficiently.

    Elsewhere, ninth seed Alex De Minaur has been taken to a fifth set by Alexander Bublik, having led 2-0, while Czech Jiri Lehecka knocked out Spanish 26th seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in four sets.

    In the women's draw, Czech 18-year-old Mirra Andreeva has cruised into the third round in straight sets, and former Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova has also progressed today.
