    Kartal v Bouzkova

Sonay Kartal was booked in to get her latest tattoo yesterday, but had to reschedule it until later as she was in doubles action.

And, after she and Jodie Burrage won on Wednesday, she'll be hoping she has to postpone any further additions for a while longer yet as she aims to go far in both draws.

Kartal, who has 13 tattoos, said number 14 will be a matching one with her sister. Beyond that? The next one could depend on how well this fortnight goes...

"I would like to go back another day as well. Maybe once I'm finished here I'll get something that resembles the French Open," she added.

We begin today with the spotlight on Britain's Sonay Kartal, aiming to reach the third round at a Grand Slam for just the second time - and first at an overseas major.

Kartal, the world number 56, faces 47th-ranked Czech Marie Bouzkova on court 11, after seeing off Russian Erika Andreeva in straight sets.

Kartal, 23, lost just two games in that impressive opener on her French Open debut but will face a sterner test against former top-25 player Bouzkova, who reached the third round last year.
