    Much of the attention at Roland Garros is on France's Arthur Fils at the moment, who is a set up against Spain's Jaume Fils.

    There's nervous murmurs from the crowd as Munar opens up two break points, but 14th seed Fils saves them both - the second with an emphatic smash at the net.

    Fils secures the hold with more smart work at the net and is greeted by huge cheers on Court Suzanne Lenglen.

    It wasn't to be for Sonay Kartal.

    But four other British players will attempt to reach the third round of the singles competitions today.

    Katie Boulter and Jack Draper are both going to be in action on Court Philippe Chatrier.

    Boulter takes on Australian Open champion Madison Keys, while Draper plays home favourite Gael Monfils in the evening session.

    Jacob Fearnley is fourth on Court Simonne Mathieu against French 22nd seed Ugo Humbert, and Cameron Norrie will be in action on court 13 against Argentine Federico Gomez.

    Vondrousova has edged ahead with an early break in the decider, however.

    Elsewhere, American third seed Jessica Pegula has taken the first set 6-3 against compatriot Ann Li.

    Roland Garros is surely treated to the loudest roar of the day so far as the crowd on Court Suzanne Lenglen cheer home favourite Arthur Fils taking the first set against Spaniard Jaume Munar.

    The 14th seed secured it 7-3 on a tie-break before standing and soaking in the applause.

    Elsewhere in the men's singles, Australian ninth seed Alex de Minaur is 6-2 6-2 0-3 up against Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik.

    Czech 19th seed Jakub Mensik is also two sets up, holding 6-2 6-2 lead over Portugal's Henrique Rocha.
