Paula Badosa forehand is too short and Katie Boulter nails the double-handed backhand into the corner.

    Break point...

  2. Game and first set - Kruegerpublished at 19:54 British Summer Time 30 June

    Krueger 6-3 Stojsavljevic*

Mika Stojsavljevic is not going down without a fight in the opening set.

Ashlyn Krueger tries to get the job done on the teenager's serve but Stojsavljevic stands her ground well and digs out the hold to ask the serve it out question of the American.

The 31st seed duly obliges and takes it on her own serve.

Stojsavljevic - who is the reining US Open girls singles champions - has it all to do if she is to make it to the second round of Wimbledon at the first time of asking.

  3. Badosa breakspublished at 19:53 British Summer Time 30 June

    *Badosa 2-6 6-3 1-0 Boulter

These double faults are providing ever so costly for Katie Boulter.

Having brilliantly saved a fourth break point with a ripping forehand, she offers Paula Badosa a fifth with another double fault.

This time, Badosa takes it as Boulter pushes a forehand wide.

Work to do for the Brit on a subdued Centre Court.

  4. Paolini and Sevastova hold servepublished at 19:51 British Summer Time 30 June

    *Paolini 2-6 6-3 5-2 Sevastova

If there is one thing to admire about Jasmine Paolini, it is her ability to stick in matches even when the going gets tough.

Anastasija Sevastova forces the Italian's service game to deuce but she quickly bats away any threat with her third ace of the match followed by a fantastic forehand winner.

But the Latvian isn't ready to concede yet - so it's over to the Italian fourth seed to serve out the game...

  5. Boulter saves three break pointspublished at 19:49 British Summer Time 30 June

    *Badosa 2-6 6-3 0-0 Boulter

Uh oh. This is a dangerous time for Katie Boulter.

She nets a forehand to go down 0-30 but responds with an ace. A couple more of those wouldn't go amiss.

No such luck. Paula Badosa is hitting the ball with so much more conviction now than we saw in the first set.

Another forehand winner brings up two break points. Boulter lets out a sigh of relief after saving the second of them but sends a forehand wide to hand Badosa a third break point.

That's saved, too, thanks to a big first serve. Can the British number two push this through for a crucial hold?

  6. Stojsavljevic brokenpublished at 19:45 British Summer Time 30 June

    Krueger 5-2 Stojsavljevic*

Mika Stojsavljevic almost manages to dig herself out of a hole.

The British teenager faces a break point on her serve but, cool as you like, fires down an ace to save it.

She soon finds herself breakpoint down again, but once again her serve comes to the rescue.

It is third time lucky for opponent Ashlyn Krueger as the American catches the line and takes the break.

Stojsavljevic pushes hard to get it straight back but Krueger backs it up and is now one game away from the opening set.

  7. Game and second set - Badosapublished at 19:43 British Summer Time 30 June

    Badosa 2-6 6-3 0-0 Boulter*

Paula Badosa makes no mistake this time.

The ninth seed holds to love to level it up at a set apiece against Katie Boulter.

Boulter started the set superbly and didn't end it all that badly but lost her serve completely in the middle, was broken twice and couldn't get it back.

  8. Sevastova breaks but Paolini breaks backpublished at 19:42 British Summer Time 30 June

    *Paolini 2-6 6-3 4-1 Sevastova

These two are all over the shop - it's like they are taking it in turns controlling this match!

Anastasija Sevastova stages a shock service break at 30-40, but her comeback is short-lived because Jasmine Paolini has been breaking back as a matter of course in this match.

The Latvian is struggling to keep up with the intensity needed in the latter stages of this match and it is evident her back issue is still troubling her.

  9. 'Boulter not going anywhere'published at 19:41 British Summer Time 30 June

Badosa is going to have to earn it.

How big could that break a little earlier be for Katie Boulter?

The majority of the Centre Court crowd had seemed a bit stunned into silence by how much she had been struggling in this second set but that break as Paula Badosa served for the set followed by the hold means she's still in this.

Most of the shouts of encouragment had been in Spanish for the last 30 minutes or so but there's a lot more shouts of "come on Katie" now.

    *Badosa 2-6 5-3 Boulter

No double faults, four first serves in and Katie Boulter holds with ease.

The crisp groundstrokes were back as well.

Is it too late to salvage this second set? We'll soon find out. Paula Badosa will try to serve it out for the second time.

  12. Boulter gets a break backpublished at 19:36 British Summer Time 30 June

    Badosa 2-6 5-2 Boulter*

Pressure off in this set and Katie Boulter is suddenly back to the level she showed in the first set.

Three superb returns earn the Brit a break back.

Paula Badosa will have another chance to serve it out. That is unless she can claim a third break of serve in a row in the next game.

  13. Double break for Badosapublished at 19:34 British Summer Time 30 June

    *Badosa 2-6 5-1 Boulter

Well, this has all changed very quickly and Centre Court is silenced.

Another double fault for Katie Boulter as she continues to struggle with her serve - after an 86% first serve percentage in the first set - and Paula Badosa is flying.

The Spaniard is hitting the ball so much more cleanly now, it's amazing what confidence can do.

She will now serve for the second set.

  14. Stojsavljevic on serve in first setpublished at 19:33 British Summer Time 30 June

    Krueger 3-2 Stojsavljevic*

Mika Stojsavljevic is looking good out on court four.

She does well to hold her serve, despite some pressure from Ashlyn Krueger.

It is then the 16-year-old's turn to cause the American some issues.

Krueger makes use of her strong serve and groundstrokes and sees the game out to keep this first set on serve.

  15. 'Badosa in the driving seat'published at 19:32 British Summer Time 30 June

    Badosa 2-6 4-1 Boulter*

    Martina Navratilova
Nine-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

Paula Badosa has battled a lot of injuries and her body has not been co-operating.

Badosa is moving well here and she took the gift of the break of serve and now she is in the driving seat in the second set.

  16. Paolini holds and breaks againpublished at 19:30 British Summer Time 30 June

    *Paolini 2-6 6-3 3-0 Sevastova

That's five games in a row for Jasmine Paolini.

The Italian holds her service game 40-15 and breaks Anastasija Sevastova's serve at 30-40.

It is just error after error from the Latvian at the minute. She needed to regroup after a poor finish to the second set, but her level seems unrecoverable at the minute.

You get a feeling this third set isn't going to last long, especially when Paolini is this pumped up.

  17. Badosa holdspublished at 19:30 British Summer Time 30 June

    Badosa 2-6 4-1 Boulter*

Three games in a row for Paula Badosa and this match looks very different all of a sudden.

That's largely down to those double faults in Katie Boulter's last service game but Badosa consolidates the break here.

The ninth seed is ramping it up with her serve and confidence levels are rising. It's up to Boulter to respond now.

British number one Emma Raducanu speaking on Court One after her straight sets first-round win: "I'm super pleased to have come through that match. It is so difficult playing against another Brit in the first round. When the draw came out, I can't say that I was loving it.

"Mimi [Xu] is a really dangerous player, she is so young and she has some amazing weapons at her disposal. I'm just so happy to come through that. I just want to thank everyone for their support, it was a really great atmosphere.

"Sometimes it's difficult in the moment to realise how well you are doing or have an idea of what is going on. I think I had some really good patches and then I had some moments where I lost my focus and Mimi was able to come back. I'm really happy with how I toughed it out in the crucial games and won the important points today."

On the British support: "I'm glad people were having fun today! I saw a champagne cork fly onto the court so cheers to you! It's really nice to be back. I love the support and I love playing in this atmosphere. It's my favourite tournament by far so I'm happy to get another match here."

    *Badosa 2-6 3-1 Boulter

Two double faults from the Brit helps Badosa take it to deuce and a third gifts the Spaniard a break point.

Boulter's first serve is in this time and she seems to be on top in the rally, only to drag a backhand wide.

Badosa lets out a roar, she knows how big that could be as she tries to mount a fightback.
