    The 29th seed reaches the second round of Wimbledon.

    Klugman is only 16 and the British wildcard should be proud of her first senior appearance at the tournament.

    She will have plenty more opportunities in the future.

    Fabio Fognini saves the first set point but then he gifts Alcaraz a second with a double fault.

    No saving this one. Alcaraz powers a forehand into the corner and Fognini can only put it into the net, falling to the ground as he does so.

    The defending champion is two sets to one up.

    Quinn is a big serving American, but Henry Searle still managed to put some pressure on in the game and will need to do that again the next time Quinn serves if he is to turn this second set around.

    Leylah Fernandez, US Open runner-up in 2021, hits another ace which Hannah Klugman can't reach and pumps her fist in celebration.

    However, a double fault gifts Klugman an opportunity as the game goes to deuce.

    Klugman hits into the net but a wild swing from Fernandez brings it back to deuce.

    Fernandez eventually holds on her service game with yet another ace.

    The second round is in sight for the Canadian.

    Easy service games have been few and far between in this match but the Spaniard gets one to guarantee at least a tie-break in this third set.
