Brilliant from the defending champion Barbora Krejcikova.

There's clearly something about this place for the Czech player.

With the draw opening up on the women's side you would be foolish to rule her out.

  2. Krejcikova holdspublished at 17:15 British Summer Time 3 July

    Krejcikova 6-4 3-6 5-2 Dolehide*

A break is never really a break until you back it up and Barbora Krejcikova does that with ease as she holds to love.

The wind looks to have been taken out of the sails of Carolina Dolehide and 17th seed Krejcikova is one game away now from a place in the third round.

  3. 'Exceptional defence from Draper'published at 17:14 British Summer Time 3 July

    Draper 2-2 Cilic*

    Todd Woodbridge
Former Wimbledon doubles champion on BBC One

We are seeing some wonderful ball-striking from Marin Cilic, but some exceptional defence from Jack Draper.

His defensive skills have been great for a long time, but what has really improved is his ability to be more aggressive and assertive in matches.

It's the thing that has allowed him to become a top-10 player.

Jack Draper sees out the game after saving that break point and we're all square again in the opening set.

    Swiatek 5-7 3-0 McNally*

    Gary Rose
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

There's smiles on the faces of some Polish journalists around me as they nod appreciatively to each other after that fine service game from Iga Swiatek.

Caty McNally just couldn't get any accuracy on her returns and the momentum has quickly gone away from her after such a strong finish to the first set.

  6. Draper saves break pointpublished at 17:13 British Summer Time 3 July

    *Draper 1-2 Cilic

Jack Draper "does a Marin Cilic" by allowing a ball to run past thinking an "out" call will come - but doesn't.

Draper faces a break point on his serve for the first time in the tournament... a slow second serve out wide, but Cilic can only find the net.

However, already there's evidence that Cilic will be a much more difficult proposition for Draper to find his way past. Cilic is a big-server as we know, but also a clean striker of the ball off the ground when he gets it right.

  7. Krejcikova breakspublished at 17:12 British Summer Time 3 July

    *Krejcikova 6-4 3-6 4-2 Dolehide

Carolina Dolehide quickly finds herself 0-30, but she puts some real power behind her forehands and smashes down an overhead at the net to get back level.

Krejcikova has a chance for a passing shot as Dolehide comes to the net, but that is exactly where the ball ends up.

Both players are really trying to go for it in what feels like a crucial game for this match as they trade rallies, but the defending champion gets the point that matters as she breaks the American's serve.

  8. Swiatek holdspublished at 17:12 British Summer Time 3 July

    Swiatek 5-7 3-0 McNally*

Iga Swiatek shouts "come on" and raises her fist to celebrate after an ace opens up a 30-0 lead.

A cross-court backhand seals a hold to love and Swiatek, just like she did in the opening set, has a three-game lead...

  9. Swiatek breakspublished at 17:10 British Summer Time 3 July

    *Swiatek 5-7 2-0 McNally

Iga Swiatek finally gets the break at the sixth attempt.

That took some effort both mentally and physically.

  10. Fourth deucepublished at 17:09 British Summer Time 3 July

    Swiatek 5-7 1-0 McNally*

Iga Swiatek has a golden chance to go after Caty McNally's second serve but it's returned straight into the net.

  11. Fifth break pointpublished at 17:08 British Summer Time 3 July

    Swiatek 5-7 1-0 McNally*

A shout of "out" is followed by a querying look from Iga Swiatek.

The replay shows it was clearly beyond the paint.

Swiatek will have a fifth shot at break, though.

  12. 'One has done it and one is trying to do it'published at 17:07 British Summer Time 3 July

    *Draper 1-2 Cilic

    Todd Woodbridge
Former Wimbledon doubles champion on BBC One

I'm very eager to see what Marin Cilic can bring in this game.

He is somebody who has done so much in the game and somebody who is obviously very motivated. When you come back from injuries and such time away from the game, and you go and play in all the Challenger Tour events, you do it to get back to here.

So there are a lot of questions for both players today - one has done it and one is trying to do it.

  13. Fourth break pointpublished at 17:07 British Summer Time 3 July

    Swiatek 5-7 1-0 McNally*

But Iga Swiatek finds the net.

One thing Swiatek has done extremely well today is find gaps with her cross-court shots.

The eighth seed has a fourth break point.

  14. Cilic holdspublished at 17:06 British Summer Time 3 July

    *Draper 1-2 Cilic

    Jack DraperImage source, EPA

Mmm, a chance for Jack Draper on the Cilic serve...

There's a misjudgment from the Croat as he allows a Draper shot to drop to the deck, thinking it's going long - but it hits the line for a winner. 0-30...

But a fine backhand winner gets Cilic back in business and there are no alarms from there on in for the 36-year-old.

  15. Third break point Swiatekpublished at 17:06 British Summer Time 3 July

    Swiatek 5-7 1-0 McNally*

Caty McNally with a double fault to offer up another opportunity.

  16. Krejcikova holds to lovepublished at 17:05 British Summer Time 3 July

    Krejcikova 6-4 3-6 3-2 Dolehide*

Nice and easy for Barbora Krejcikova in that service game.

By serving first in this deciding set, it means she can keep the scoreboard pressure on her opponent and she does just that.

    Who will blink first?

  17. Deucepublished at 17:05 British Summer Time 3 July

But it's a familiar story as Iga Swiatek looks for the lines and gets it wrong.

    Both break points disappear.

  18. Break points Swiatekpublished at 17:04 British Summer Time 3 July

    Swiatek 5-7 1-0 McNally*

    Iga Swiatek means business now.

The Pole flies out of the blocks in Caty McNally's first service game of this set and leads 40-15.

  19. Postpublished at 17:03 British Summer Time 3 July

    Swiatek 5-7 1-0 McNally*

    Tracy Austin
Two-time Grand Slam champion on BBC TV

Caty McNally was out for 10 months and then had to have elbow surgery. She had a long rehab, very extensive surgery.

She wasn't even sure that she would be able to come back.

  20. Swiatek holdspublished at 17:01 British Summer Time 3 July

    Swiatek 5-7 1-0 McNally*

Iga Swiatek, as she did at the start of the opening set, comes out fully focused and gets on the board.

A hold to 15 will help to brush aside any lingering feelings of frustation.
