This time Jack Draper was unable to serve his way out of trouble.

If you thought Marin Cilic was past it, you'd better think again.

Cilic has been magnificent. He's been dominating with his jackhammer serve, as well as forcing Draper well behind the baseline with his deep returns.

Targeting the backhand has proved a wise move, too.

If Caty McNally can replicate that first set where she was disruptive, powerful and crafty, that was a nice mix.

It will take real discipline and tactics here from McNally to come up with this win.

Wow, that's clinical from Marin Cilic. No messing about this time, a backhand down the line and all Jack Draper can do is watch it fly past him.

The veteran goes a set up against the younger British hope.

  13. Swiatek holdspublished at 17:42 British Summer Time 3 July

    Swiatek 5-7 6-2 1-0 McNally*

Iga Swiatek begins the third set in the exact same way she kicked off the second... with a hold to 15.

If you're into omens maybe there is something in that. Or maybe not.

Iga Swiatek made 17 unforced errors in the first set but cut them out a lot in the second, making just eight.

Her forehand - the aspect of her game that let her down at her last two appearances here - was much better in the second set as well.

She made adjustments to it at Bad Homburg and that helped her to reach the final. It seems they may be working here too.

We've often talked about the threat of Jack Draper's first serve on the grass - that previous service game shows why.

Looking in a perilous position at 4-3 down, the pace and precision of his opening shot dug him out of bother.

The ability to slide his letfy serve on the ad side and bullet the flatter one down the deuce side paid dividends.

Caty McNally has popped off court for a comfort break so Iga Swiatek is taking the opportunity to practice her serving.

Marin Cilic throws in a third double fault of the match to drop to 15-30, but the Croat then wins the next three points without reply to take a 5-4 lead in the first set.

Jack Draper slipped near the baseline during one of those points, but there doesn't appear to be any harm done.

    *Swiatek 5-7 6-2 0-0 McNally

    Tracy Austin

I wonder if there is a mental fatigue for Caty McNally.

This is such a big moment and she hasn't had as much experience on the big courts as Iga Swiatek.

This would be the first top 10 win of her career if she could come up with it.

Brilliantly done by Jack Draper - excellent serving from the Briton and Marin Cilic doesn't really have a sniff on any of the break points.

    Deuce.

And in a flash, he wraps up the game.
