A carnival atmosphere continues to follow Joao Fonseca around everywhere he goes, with chants of his name heard around the surrounding courts during his previous win over Jenson Brooksby.

The Brazilian teenage sensation is one of the rising stars of the men’s game and today he’s looking to reach the fourth round of a major for the first time.

But he will have to come through an all-South American tie today against Chilean qualifier Nicolas Jarry.

Sometime later today there will be a net separating Emma Raducanu and Aryna Sabalenka on Centre Court.

Right now? A couple of green mesh fences and a paved stairwell.

The pair are practising on adjacent courts down at Aorangi Park.

Raducanu, under the watchful eye of Mark Petchey, is taking her full allocated hour, but Sabalenka does what she needs to in about 40 minutes.

The world number one looks similarly relaxed as she heads back inside, hugging a friend and posing for photos with a few kids.

Sabalenka was not tempted to glance over to see what Raducanu was up to.

A little further down on Aorangi is the Djokovic clan.

Father Novak has a hit for an hour before son Stefan joins in the warm-down and mimics the seven-time Wimbledon champion.

The bare-footed pair jog up and down the court, doing high knees and arm swings.

“Don’t leave me out, Dad,” is what Djokovic’s daughter Tara might have said.

She joins in before both kids sit down on court and copy their father’s stretching routine.

    Wholesome stuff.

  17. 'Norrie happy to get in the grill of his opposition'published at 15:44 British Summer Time 4 July

    Bellucci 4-5 Norrie*

    Andrew Castle
BBC Sport tennis commentator on BBC One

It is really interesting to observe where Cameron Norrie is going from the back of the court when he has the choice.

He can pick whether he goes to the forehand or the backhand and he is actually choosing to go to what we might think is Mattia Bellucci's strength - his forehand.

He is very happy to get in the grill of his opposition. He is an absolute scrapper.

There's a lack of consistency about Cameron Norrie on serve at the moment, so he'll welcome an ace to get to advantage.

Mattia Bellucci is dragged all over the court. After dealing with a shot on the baseline, the Italian races to the net to meet a drop shot and his return is slammed away for a winner and the hold by Norrie.

Bellucci will serve to stay in the set.
