    Fritz 6-4 6-3 6-7 (5-7) 3-1 Davidovich Fokina*

Number five seed Taylor Fritz backs up that break with a hold to 15. You'd expect Fritz to see it out from here, given his serving prowess, but we thought that in the third set.

Alejandro Davidovich Fokina will need to summon up another big effort to get himself back into this one.

  2. 'Norrie needs to keep pressure on'published at 16:40 British Summer Time 4 July

    Marion Bartoli
Former Wimbledon champion on BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds

Norrie needs to make sure he keeps adding the pressure. He needs to keep finding his depth and playing with purpose and aggression.

  4. Break point Norriepublished at 16:38 British Summer Time 4 July

    *Bellucci 6-7 (5-7) 3-3 Norrie

Mattia Bellucci is featuring in the third round of a Grand Slam for the first time, so it maybe shouldn't be too much of a surprise that he lacked a little in the decisive moments of the first set.

The Italian has battled his way back into the second set but is asked to defend break point again now.

  5. Jarry takes charge of all-South American matchpublished at 16:37 British Summer Time 4 July

    Jarry 6-3 2-0 Fonseca*

The one Chile flag that I have spotted in the crowd was waved passionately as qualifier Nicolas Jarry clinched the opening set.

The powerful six-foot seven-inch Jarry has been solid so far and his serve packs a real punch.

Now we’re going to learn a bit more about what teenager Joao Fonseca is made of as he falls a break behind in set two.

A young lad tries to get a chant of Fonseca’s name going, but it’s not catching on just now.

  7. Brit-watch - mixed doublespublished at 16:36 British Summer Time 4 July

Away from the action on the show courts, there are two British pairings underway in the first round of the mixed doubles.

And it is contrasting fortunes so far.

It has been a good start on court 15 for Joshua Paris and Eden Silva, with the duo taking the first set 6-4 against the Netherlands pair of Sander Arends and Demi Schuurs. They are on serve as things stand midway through the second.

It was not the start that British pair Henry Patten and Olivia Nicholls would have wanted, however, losing the first set 6-3 to Andres Molteni of Argentina and American Asia Muhammad.

They too are on serve in the second set as they look to turn that match around.

  8. Norrie holdspublished at 16:34 British Summer Time 4 July

    *Bellucci 6-7 (5-7) 3-3 Norrie

Cameron Norrie needs a settler now back on serve after a rough couple of games.

  9. 'Norrie a little bit sloppy mentally'published at 16:32 British Summer Time 4 July

    Bellucci 6-7 (5-7) 3-2 Norrie*

    John Lloyd
Former GB Davis Cup captain on BBC One

Cameron Norrie was a little bit sloppy mentally there.

I don't think he is tired, it was just a case of that double fault and missed forehand.

He had his opponent in such a good vice grip at a set and a break, but now he has let him back in again.

    *Fritz 6-4 6-3 6-7 (5-7) 0-1 Davidovich Fokina

Both players left the court at the end of the third set and there were eight minutes between the final point of the third and the first point of the fourth.

Emma Raducanu v Aryna Sabalenka is scheduled to be the third and final match on Centre Court today, following Carlos Alcaraz v Jan-Lennard Struff. Get set for a late finish...

    Bellucci 6-7 (5-7) 1-2 Norrie*

Cameron Norrie is looking a little fatigued as this game ticks over five minutes but does get back to the relative safety of deuce.

Mattia Bellucci rips that forehand once again, though, for advantage.

  14. Break back point Belluccipublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 4 July

    Bellucci 6-7 (5-7) 1-2 Norrie*

Mattia Bellucci has come back with intent here.

A low sweeping forehand earns advantage and break back point.

  15. Deucepublished at 16:26 British Summer Time 4 July

    Bellucci 6-7 (5-7) 1-2 Norrie*

Cameron Norrie just looks so confident on serve. The Briton profits from a Mattia Bellucci slip and volleys a winner at the net. Bellucci casts a dejected figure and takes a moment before returning to the baseline to receive.

Norrie leads 40-15 but just allows his level to drop for a moment and Bellucci fights back to deuce.

  16. 'Fokina showing resilience'published at 16:25 British Summer Time 4 July

    Fritz 6-4 6-3 6-7 (5-7) 0-0 Davidovich Fokina*

    Ryan Harrison
Former American tennis player on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra and BBC Sounds

You can see that Fokina has that belief. He is looking to his box for the first time with a positive look.

He has really raised his level to a different gear and shown such resilience. Fritz may be showing some effects of his injury time-outs.

  17. 'Bellucci is flat as a pancake'published at 16:24 British Summer Time 4 July

    Bellucci 6-7 (5-7) 1-2 Norrie*

    Andrew Castle
BBC Sport tennis commentator on BBC One

That is a good service hold for Mattia Bellucci, it has been about 20 minutes since he last won a game.

He is flat as a pancake. He is making mistakes. He has lost control of the racquet face.

Cameron Norrie is just drip feeding the points and asking the questions.

  18. Game and third set - Davidovich Fokinapublished at 16:22 British Summer Time 4 July

    Fritz 6-4 6-3 6-7 (5-7) 0-0 Davidovich Fokina*

We're going into a fourth set on Centre Court.

Alejandro Davidovich Fokina has a set point on the Taylor Fritz serve and bosses the rally, forcing the American to net a backhand.

Carlos Alcaraz, who is due to be next on Centre, can put the kettle on and make a brew because he's going to be waiting a little while longer before he's called into action.

  19. Fear the Fonseca forehandpublished at 16:22 British Summer Time 4 July

    Harry Poole
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Joao Fonseca has a quite incredible forehand on him - and he has already sent a fair few flying past Nicolas Jarry in the opening games.

He does, however, tend to go big more often than not - even when it’s not entirely necessary.

They are brief glimpses of his inexperience at this level, but it certainly makes for thrilling no-nonsense tennis for the fans.

By the standards of his last match, this has been a fairly tame atmosphere so far - but it’s still early days as he searches for a breakthrough.

  20. Bellucci holdspublished at 16:22 British Summer Time 4 July

It's almost 20 minutes since Mattia Bellucci won a game. He needs to address that.

Bellucci battles to a hold to 30.
