After defeating Britain's Jodie Burrage in the first round, the American falls to Olga Danilovic of Serbia in a 6-4 3-6 6-4 defeat.

Collins, who postponed her retirement from tennis last year, mounted a late comeback in the deciding set after being 5-2 down, but Danilovic broke again to wrap up the win.

Big game already for both world number 98 Teichmann and world number one Sabalenka.

The underdog comes out of the blocks, winning the first point with a top-class drop shot. And she keeps the momentum throughout the game, holding to love.

Wow this match has started with a bang. Sabalenka has too much fizz on a drop shot and Teichmann easily gets there, although her passing attempt only just clears both the net and Sabalenka sprinting back.

Finally a point won on the opponent's serve as Sabalenka rattles one into the net.
